{ROUND EIGHT}

With the help of generous island Pokémon, the Eevee Three managed to cleave a passage through the
{Fanged Grotto's}
wreckage. The competitors clambered over shattered trees and fallen boulders, nearly trampling one another as they fled Graeter Gyarados' makeshift merge. At long last, they came upon familiar white shores of the island proper. There, they found two new banners waiting for them. After two rounds of unfettered communication, the group was divided once more.

The
{New Diamond Tribe}
greeted Ekans, Flaaffy, Magikarp, Metang, Pineco, Prinplup and Wartortle.

The
{New Pearl Tribe}
became home for Cherubi, Croagunk, Herdier, Riolu, Shinx, Staryu and Togepi.

For personal reasons, Togepi asked to withdraw from
Survivor: Sky Pillar
. Wailord immediately escorted the Spike Ball Pokémon from the island, where he will join the other eliminated players on Hoenn's mainland. Thirteen players remain.

For Challenge 10, Espeon decided to gauge team dynamics. Each tribe nominated one player, the Intuitive, that would be isolated from the rest of the tribe. Those two players were instructed to attach one of six Pokémon Nature Traits to each of their teammates. Concurrently, both tribes created their own lists. For each correct match made between the Intuitives' entry and their respective tribe's submission, the group would score 01 Point. The tribe with the highest score would gain Tribal Immunity and the {Psychic Champ} Medal.

  • {01}
    {Riyado}
    made one successful match, earning them
    {01 Point}
    .
    {02}
    Unfortunately, this was not enough to beat the members of
    {Margarita}
    , who managed to complete the challenge with four correct pairs.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL EIGHT}

The disorientation of reshuffled tribes proved to sober some Pokémon, confining them to Confessional entries and minimal conversation within the tribe's camp. As
{Riyado}
headed to its first Tribal Council, this quietude seemed to weigh heavily on contestants' minds. When the votes were read, it was
{Metang}
who met his end. Thirteen players are left.

{ROUND NINE}

Today's Immunity Challenge gave both tribes the chance to help Bill, the Pokémon Researcher. Shrewd as this Cerulean Town native is, his PC system was bogged down by Pokémon as they returned to their companions. More specifically, the Pokémon listed as possible character choices by current and eliminated players unintentionally interrupted the PC data flow as they returned to their native regions. The Eevee Three entrusted
{Riyado}
and
{Margarita}
to move these Pokémon through the network. To do so, they simply had to identify them. The tribe that correctly identified the most Pokémon would win immunity and the {Boxes Filled} Medal.

  • {01}
    {Riyado}
    finished with a perfect score of
    {10 Points}
    !
    {02}
    {Margarita}
    , though successful with
    {06 Points}
    could not help Bill as efficiently as its rival tribe. Soon, a team of six will become five. Which castaways will live to see another day, and who will be voted out? Stay tuned to find out.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL NINE}

Storm clouds broiled over the Tribal Council area as
{Margarita}
made its way into the danger zone. Tensions ran high. Though they had lost a member the round before, they had not yet voted out one of their own. That changed as votes for
{Shinx}
were revealed, and the Pokémon's life in
Survivor: Sky Pillar
vanished in a thunderclap.

{MERGE}

Two tribes became one as Rayquaza's storm swept over Sky Pillar. What began as a game of collective endeavor washed away in a wave of individualism as players made their way to the
{Platinum Tribe}
. Congratulations to the Final 11 for reaching the Merge.

Today, the players received a transmission from Hoenn's Professor Birch, who claimed to be researching Sky Pillar's southern shores with colleagues Oak, Elm, Rowan and Juniper. Unfortunately, Professor Oak forgot his satchel near the
{Platinum Tribe}
camp. The bag contained a Pokémon vital to the group's research, and Birch kindly requested that the players help him to identify the misplaced Pokémon through a game of Twenty Questions.
{Forretress}
proved best suited for the task, gaining Individual Immunity and the {National Catcher} Medal.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL TEN}

Drama proved inevitable at the
{Platinum Tribe's}
first Tribal Council. Before the votes could be read, two players produced Hidden Immunity Idols to protect themselves.
{Ekans}
stumbled into the line of fire, and found himself eliminated from the game.

{ROUND ELEVEN}

Image

Night crept over Sky Pillar as Tribal Council 10 convened. The stars rose quickly, but offered little comfort from the loss of another contestant. The players found themselves in total darkness, and they would each have to rely on memory to navigate Immunity Challenge 13. Umbreon provided them with a list of events that have occurred in
Survivor: Sky Pillar
. Their task was to remember what day this event transpired. For every day a player was off from the correct day, he or she earned 01 Penalty Point. After nine prompts and a puzzle tie-breaker, both
{Ampharos}
and
{Toxicroak}
shared the individual immunity necklace.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL ELEVEN}

After eleven rounds of play, the final ten Pokémon have gained plenty of EXP. at Tribal Council. Unfortunately,
{Blastoise}
could not defend himself from a slew of votes, and found himself speeding to the Pokémon Center.

{ROUND TWELVE}

Image

Challenge 14 should have been simple for the players who fostered relationships with their fallen peers. The Final Nine found a series of quotes from the eliminated contestants in their Confessionals. These thoughts were gleaned immediately prior to each player's last Tribal Council, which made them, in essence, their final words of the game. The castaway's job was to correctly identify the player who provided each quote. For the second round in a row, the tie breaker could not distinguish between scores, and
{Ampharos}
and
{Empoleon}
won safety.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL TWELVE}

Since Ekans' elimination,
{Cherrim}
has moved through the game in an overcast state. The sudden change in the castaway's demeanor took competitors by surprise, and because of this the Blossom Pokémon became the first Juror of
Survivor: Sky Pillar.

{ROUND THIRTEEN}

Image

It isn't often that Pokémon are afforded the opportunity to explore historical landmarks, so the Eevee Three guided the Final 8 to the Unown Tomb. Legend has it that Rayquaza hatched from its egg in that forgotten hall -- a fitting tale when Immunity so closely resembled the chance at rebirth. For Challenge 16, the castaways explored the inner-most chamber of the tomb, studying a hidden message that could only be seen after using Secret Power. The player to decipher the Unown Tomb's secret in the fastest time would win Immunity. Fortune shined on
{Stoutland}
, who dominated the challenge and gained himself a guaranteed spot in the Final 7.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL THIRTEEN}

It would seem the Emperor Pokémon,
{Empoleon}
, found himself in hot water despite his social nature. The extent of danger might have been known well before Tribal Council 13, but became manifest as the dual-type joined Cherrim in the Jury.

Our friend, Bill, found himself in another predicament. The good researcher thought it wise to play DNA dress-up with a group of Clefairy. As a result, he became stuck in Pokémon form, and would remain that way unless the castaways could activate his reversal machine.To do so, the players had to access Bill's Cell Separation System analyzing a series of odd Pokémon fusions. These blended images were meant to be a network of passwords. The first person to correctly identify all the Pokémon in a given image or -- assuming not all Pokémon are identified -- the first person to name the most Pokémon in a given image received a point. With that point, the respective player then selected one person to knock out of the challenge. After six images,
{Toxicroak}
activated Bill's machine, and received Immunity for the effort.

On Day 45 we spotted the Millennium Comet arcing over the heights of Sky Pillar. It is said that Jirachi, the legendary Wish Pokémon, uses the energy from this comet to rise from its thousand-year slumber. Before that can happen, though, the wish maker must find a friend. For this challenge, players had to heed Jirachi's cryptic dreams, following its telepathic clues to offer it presents. Each round, Jirachi will requested -- through a riddle -- a specific gift: the image of one Pokémon eliminated via Tribal Council. When a castaway believed he or she had solved the riddle and located the correct present, they offered it to Jirachi by posting the image. There was always one less present than there were players, meaning that the last player to offer the correct gift in a given round would be eliminated. In a stunning display,
{Lucario}
gained Jirachi's friendship and won Immunity!

{TRIBAL COUNCIL FIFTEEN}

For the second time in
Survivor: Sky Pillar
, the initial results of Tribal Council were inconclusive. After re-votes were cast and announced,
{Gyarados}
joined the ranks of Cherrim, Empoleon, and Ampharos as an esteemed member of the Jury.

The castaways' stay in Sky Pillar has indeed been one of legendary proportions; after facing the wrath of Rayquaza, the rage of Graeter Gyarados, and the miraculous talents of Jirachi, our players came face-to-face with Hoenn titans: the Regi Pokémon. For Immunity Challenge 19, the players had to stop this trio from ruining the island in their search for power. When instructed to begin, each player interacted with a collection of ten shards. Each projected a word or phrase letter-by-letter. These prompts were terms relevant to the Pokémon franchise and to Survivor. It was essential that players pay close attention, however, because all words or phrases were spelled backwards. The player to activate all ten shards in the shortest amount of time would successfully create a barrier to trap the Regis, and would win Individual Immunity for doing so. With a final time of
{05}
minutes,
{Toxicroak}
snagged a pass to the Final Four!

Team Plasma's Colress greeted the Final Four not as battle-hardened castaways, but as test subjects. For Challenge 20, the players were positioned on a 7x7 board. From their starting positions, each player would take turns moving over the platform. Every time a player made a move, however, the square {s}he stepped was removed from play. If at any point a competitor could make a step, {s}he was eliminated from the challenge. Colress decided to up the ante, and placed five Electrodes on the board. If a player stepped on an Electrode it would use Self Destruct, knocking that player out of the challenge. After several movement phases,
{Stoutland}
maneuvered himself into inevitable success, and his competitors accepted defeat.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL SEVENTEEN}

The players made their familiar, dreaded climb to Tribal Council. Soon, four would become three, but not before each castaway privately reflected on their gameplay thus far. When the votes were read, it was the Aura Pokémon
{Lucario}
who followed the Path of Elimination. One more player will join the
Survivor: Sky Pillar
Jury, but who will it be?
