The Setup
For this run of the game of Mafia, we will be running the following semi-closed 7 Player setup. This setup is a day start.
3-5 Vanilla Townies
0 or 1 Town-aligned Cop
0 or 1 Town-aligned Doctor
1 Mafia Goon and 1 Mafia Role Blocker -or-
2 Mafia Goons.
Roles are drawn at random. At the beginning of the game, you will receive a role PM. The role PM will contain information about your role (whether or not you have any special powers), alignment (Whether you are Mafia aligned or Town aligned) and win condition (what you must achieve for victory).

You are the town cop. At night you may choose one player to investigate. The moderator will confirm that player's alignment to you. You win when all Mafia-aligned players are dead.
Doc wrote:
You are the town Doctor. At night you may choose one player to protect. If that player is the target of a night action that would have otherwise resulted in his or her death, the night action will fail and that player will continue living. If there is a cop alive in the game your protection on him or her will fail. You win when all Mafia-aligned players are dead.
Mafia Goon wrote:
You are the Mafia Goon. Together with your partner XXXXX, you must conspire to eliminate the town. You have no special powers other than your vote (during the day time) and your night kill (during the night time). You win when the town makes up no more than 50% of all living players or nothing could prevent the same.
You may talk directly with your partner at night. You may not talk directly during the day and must only use the game thread for communication.

Rules
The Golden Rule
This is just a game. Be nice. Don't take it seriously. And for fuck sake, don't go shitting up the blacklist thread when you're done!- Once the game begins, do not post in this thread if you are not part of this game.
- Do not post after you are dead!
- Do not discuss this game outside of the game thread unless your role PM specifically allows it.
- Do not edit your own posts.
- If you sign up to play, please don't flake. These games typically last for weeks and you should make every effort to post at least once every 48 hours.
- If you need to be replaced for some reason, please don't be afraid to ask. Asking for a replacement is always better than flaking.
- If you go 48 hours without posting you will be prodded (as many times as necessary) and if you go 72 hours without posting you will be replaced. Exceptions will be made for low activity periods such as weekends and holidays.
- Do not quote your role PMs or any private communication with the moderator.
- I am fallible. While I strive not to make mistakes, they do occasionally happen. Please politely correct me if you spot one.
- The daytime deadlines for this game will be 2 weeks (14 days). If a consensus has not been reached by deadline, a no-lynch will occur and the game will go to night phase without a death.
- The deadline for night actions will be 72 hours. If you do not submit a night action after 72 hours the moderator will assume your desire was No Action.
- Alternatively you may submit a No ActionPM to the mod so that you don't need to be prodded.
- Do not post small/invisible/encrypted text in this thread. Basically: if I can't read it you can't post it.
- Votes must take the form of Vote: Playerand similarlyUnvote. It isn't necessary toUnvoteevery time but it would be appreciated by your mod and your fellow players for clarity's sake. Please note the use of the Bold tag so that it stands apart from the rest of the text on the page.
- If you need to grab my attention for any reason please throw an @Mod: statementin your post.
- Whenever a player has reached a simple majority of votes he/she will be considered lynched and the game will roll over into twilight phase. Twilight will last until I post a death scene and lock the topic
- During twilight you may talk amongst yourselves; however, no further Vote or Unvote will be counted. Once the hammer has dropped, it cannot be undone, so vote wisely.
