Yes, that's him. Cast in the series as "Boy", but a lot of book fans weren't fooled.

If you'd seen Misfits you'd have realised the casting was genius. He does creepy very well. Also...he's going to have fangirls/boys as he's going to be "fucked up" but kinda cute!

It's interesting what they've done to Loras. By leaving him out of the kingsguard they've left him open to be the one that Sansa gets offered to, which relieves them of needing to introduce another Tyrell character. But it has the overall effect of making Sansa a little less foolish and stupid, since she can't be dissapointed that she's getting a cripple rather than beautiful Ser Loras.

That being said, it doesn't really matter does it, we're probably two episodes away from Sansa and Tyrion's wedding? Next episode there will be firmer plans that Sansa is to marry Loras, to give the viewers hope for her and then BAM.

Ah, you know what? This might be what tips Shae back towards her true story path. Jealously of Sansa and Tyrion.

We might even get a double play--start the scene with Loras getting accepted into the Kingsguard, and move on to the wedding with the groom stolen right from under Sansa's eyes (hey look! It's not just a Rose cloak becoming a Lion cloak, it's a Rose cloak becoming a White cloak! Talk about double weddings >.>). Or they might just drop the Kingsguard bit altogether, since they aren't making much of a point of brotherhoods with chastity vows other than the Night's Watch.

I haven't seen the newest episode yet, assuming Reek made his appearance?

More like his reveal, since he was already in the show.

Well, 'Reek' probably isn't the right label. If you mean Ramsay, then yes. Although even that's not truly revealled.

So does anybody know what Varys's plan actually is?
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I think Varys is a proponent of Hobbes (although obviously Hobbes doesn't exist in this world, but whatever).

Varys wants the common folk to be as unmolested as possible and that doesn't happen during strife.
Strife is inevitable without a monarch of unquestionable claim and authority.
Therefore he wants a Targaryen on the throne.

Does he though? Or does he want a blackfyre on the throne! Didn't he spread rumours about Rhaegar at some point or am I misremembering?

The blackfyre theory is prominent because of Varys sorta bringing Rhaegar down in Aerys' opinion - stuff about how he wants to usurp the throne and all that.

Yeah, that's the stuff I'm on about. Don't see him being a "targs rulez, y'all drool" guy with him doing that - considering rhaegar was generally pretty sound.

Apart from abducting lyanna stark.

How dare he!

Yeah, that sounds good too.

I did like Varys' line about Littlefinger in last episode (Warning: Upcoming Misquote) "He would let the whole world burn to be king of the ashes"

Ugh! Shireen's song that was Patchface's song! So beautiful, so haunting, and so teasing in that I want to study it for prophecy.

Oh, Shireen. <3

Spoiler: Season 3, episode 5 + The Hedge Knight
Did anyone notice the Egg reference? Not the Aegon in question, but it was such a nice touch.

Not in the show, no. It was rather unclear whether Stannis had any children in the show until this episode, actually.

I'm concerned people who only watch the show might end up liking Ramsay.

I suspect they won't.
