Sign up at your own risk. As this game is going to be rather complicated, I will not be doing much replacing, unless there are extremely strange circumstances. I will modkill with glee.
Anyway, you're probably asking how in the world is this going to work? Good question.
Step 1 - The mod randomly assigns two godfathers. These two godfathers choose members of the town to become scum buddies with them (see Choose Your Own Role Mafia). They also name their mafia groups.
Step 2 - Day one: 20 vanilla players duke it out. One of them gets lynched. The lynchee might be mafia. The lynchee might not be mafia.
Step 3 - Either way, the lynchee chooses a person in the town (person 1), who chooses another player, and a role for that player (person 2). Player 2 does this for another player, etc., until Player 19, who gives the last role to player 1. Each role can only be chosen once. Players get their role's abilities whether they are scum or not. Scum may choose to give each other roles, or may assign roles to other players.
Be aware that Step 3 will probably take around three days. During this time, players are encouraged to check back at the thread as often as possible. To expedite Step 3, players will not be allowed to post unless they are choosing a role for someone else. Once a role is chosen, that role is final. Players may also send lists of players they would like to choose roles for, as well as which roles they would like to give them, in advance. This way, I will be able to speed up the process.
If a player does not choose a player and a role for that player within 24 hours after receiving their role, a player and role will be chosen randomly by the mod. I hope it doesn't come to this.
Step 4 - The mafia receive additional powers (see below) to compensate for the town all of a sudden having a buttload of power roles. They have these powers in addition to their standard powers.
Step 5 - Night one. Game continues as a normal game until all the bad guys are dead, or one group of bad guys has control of the town.
The following are the roles that players will give each other:
1 - Surgeon
: Once per night, you may attempt to protect another player from night-kills
2 - Detective
: Once per night, you may target a player and I will tell you if that player is scum or not the next day. There are some tricky roles out there, though. Watch out.
3 - Vigilante
: Once per night, you may kill another player. Yes, if you are scum, you can use this in addition to your normal kill.
4 - Chemist
: Once per night, you may use one of the following items on another player: Tonic, Potion, Elixir, Green Cherry. You only have one of each item, and you do not know what they do.
5 - Graverobber
: Once per game, at night, you may PM me the name of a dead player. If you do, you gain all non-scum abilities of that player beginning the next night. You retain your current alignment.
6 - Chicagoan
: Your vote counts for two votes in all vote counts.
7 - Ascetic
: You can't be targeted by night abilities, except for night-kills.
8 - Tracker
: You may target one person each night, and I will tell you which (if any) players that player targeted once the next day arrives.
9 - Bodyguard
: You may target one person each night. If that person is targeted for night-kills, you are instead the victim of those night-kills. Have a nice day.
10 - Doppelganger
: You choose two targets for this role each night. The first target is a player whose night ability you would like to copy. The second is the person you would like to target with the first player's night ability. This ability does not copy scum kills, one-shot abilities, or certain "mystery" roles.
11 - Necromancer
: Each night, you may tell me if you want to use your ability. If you choose to use it, you will die. However, you will resurrect the first person who died this game to play in your stead. If this player was town, he/she will come back on whatever your team is. If this player was scum, and on your scum team, he/she will come back as scum on your team. Your alignment will not be revealed upon your death if you use your ability.
12 - Pimp
: Each night, you may send an attractive person to visit with the player of your choice. That player's night abilities will fail, as he/she is too distracted with your sexy escort.
13 - Survivor
: Someone doesn't like you. In order to win this game, you must survive until the end in addition to whatever your normal win condition is.
14 - Motivator
: Each night, you may target another player. That player's abilities will be amplified by your motivation. If you target the
Surgeon
, the Surgeon's targets will be protected from ALL night kills. If you target the
Detective
, the detective will be 100% certain of his/her investigations. If you target the
Vigilante
, that player will be able to day-kill the next day at the cost of sacrificing his/her next night-kill. If you target the
Chemist
, he/she will replenish his/her stock of whatever item he/she uses that night. If you target the
Graverobber
, he/she will be able to use his/her newly acquired ability twice the next day. If you target the
Chicagoan
, his/her vote will count for triple the next day. If you target the
Tracker
, he/she will see that you targeted him/her this night. If you target the
Bodyguard
, he/she will survive any night-kills on him this night. If you target the
Doppelganger
, his/her abilities would be amplified as the original role's abilities would have been amplified. If you target the
Necromancer
, he/she may choose to reveal his/her alignment upon death. Nothing will happen if a
Pimp, Survivor, or Motivator
is motivated. Motivating a
Mystery Role
will yield uncertain results.
15 - Mystery Role 1
- You have an unknown role. You may or may not be able to claim this role. If you claim, and you are not allowed to claim, I will make sure the worst possible thing happens to you.
16 - Mystery Role 2
- You have an unknown role. You may or may not be able to claim this role. If you claim, and you are not allowed to claim, I will make sure the worst possible thing happens to you.
17 - Mystery Role 3
- You have an unknown role. You may or may not be able to claim this role. If you claim, and you are not allowed to claim, I will make sure the worst possible thing happens to you.
18 - Mystery Role 4
- You have an unknown role. You may or may not be able to claim this role. If you claim, and you are not allowed to claim, I will make sure the worst possible thing happens to you.
19 - Mystery Role 5
- You have an unknown role. You may or may not be able to claim this role. If you claim, and you are not allowed to claim, I will make sure the worst possible thing happens to you.
Scum Additional Abilities:
Godfather
- You have a one-shot ability to make all investigations on you fail this evening. Use this ability by telling me you'd like to use your godfather ability.
Gun Moll
- You have a one-shot ability to roleblock a player tonight. This works as the pimp's role works. Use this ability by telling me you'd like to use your gun moll ability, and send me the name of the player you'd like to roleblock.
Crazy Gunman
- You have a one-shot ability to carry your tommy gun with you during the day. If you are lynched during the day after you use this ability, you will be able to fire wildly and take a player down with you. Use this ability by telling me you'd like to use your Crazy Gunman ability.
