I think rising star shld go to some1 who is showing a solid progression and kagami hits all of the right notes in this category. something that I have noticed and admired about her is how she handles herself in games as in she keeps a cool head and works at her own pace and doesn't succumb easily to outside pressure. I think she brings a freshness to game analysis and as a mod stays on top of things as in she reads the games that she mods. she can town it up regardless of alignment in a seamless way that spills over into every game she plays. she is thoroughly enjoyable and I want to lynch her every time for being so enjoyable cos I am a paranoid freak who is suspicious about enjoyable players. in the dance mechanic game she won the game

. how kewl is that. she has balls and she has style but she knows when to sit back and I for one feel like I am learning a lot from her.

that game was truly hilarious if you contrast it with the previous 1. no1 was lynched. the game was decided by players taking their partners out of the game. I mean every1 was running around being paranoid in their pt and in the game thread while not wanting to be paranoid about their dance partner when every1 actually was. <----- it srsly doesn't get any funnier than that.

I think telltaleheart deserves an honourable mention. she is a savvy player and on the go guyz.

she drew scum (it ended up being secret multiball) and she did a

really

good job of protecting herself and her partners. we didn't even know her team existed until at the end of fucking day 6. that's insane. it ended up being a draw in the end btwn town and the 2 scumteams, but kagami played a really solid game.

i also saw her in that serenade game mollie talked about. i kind of repressed the memory since i screwed up as scum there, but from what i remember, kagami had really good reads. she was townreading ika when i was trying to get him mislynched and i thought that was really annoying.

I don't want her to put more pressure on herself than she already does in games and burn herself out and...stop playing. cos I love her presence in games.

lets help build her up so that she knows its okay to make mistakes cos you know as well as I do the second she gets that title expectations will be placed on her but they will pale in comparison to the expectations she will place on herself. if she accepts it then okay that is a different story but if not we can always nom her next year.

Thing is, she's gonna pick up the expectations from just her reputation anyway, cause she's brilliant. And she's welcome to decline the award if she wins. But the nomination itself should be a confidence-booster. When she hits the inevitable string of bad beats, she'll be able to see that we knew she wasn't just a

. That's kinda the point of the noms, IMO.

Plus, she totally deserves it.

If she doesn't want the title, she can turn down the title. Hell, if she doesn't want the nom, she can probably turn down the now (I don't know that it's happened before). What's important is that you stop saying "I don't care what she wants" - respect her opinions, please.

for Kagami.
I'm sure I could link to any number of various games, but the simple fact is that when town, Kagami is a force to be reckoned with, often correctly pegging multiple scum before any other member of the town so much as suspects them, AND predicting events in the game well before they happen. Kagami is also incredibly good at gamebreaking, which makes Kag an all-around strong town player...yet where Kagami seems to truly shine is in manipulating Kag's scumgame. A notable factor is that Kagami was scum in both Inu-Yasha AND Serums & Steel, at the same time, and yet Kagami's play in the two games (in spite of being the secret scum faction both times) was nothing alike. Kagami has the ability to accurately pin down the town and avoid large suspicion when doing so, basically being the dictating force behind a scumteam that carries them to their inevitable win.

SC's been running this game for over two and a half years. This seems unheard of for a game requiring as much mod intervention as it does. I think anyone that visits Mish Mash with any regularity would agree that SC is the seminal poster on the forum, bar none. As if that weren't enough, he's run spin-offs of the game (Game Show Marathon, Retro Tournament) and ran other games on the forum.

Just... the sheer amount of craziness they had to keep up with to keep this game running smoothly... and the challenges were all great, no dull/boring/bullshit ones, probably best bunch of challenges in any Survivor game I've seen.
