Newbie 268: Star wars mafia GAME ABORTED

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Thu Aug 17, 2006 3:22 pm

Post by spectrum_void »

Co-mod
: Pinky
Game status
: Aborted due to modding errors

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...

The light and dark side of the Force are engaged in battle. While those who serve the Sith try to seduce others to the dark side, those who stand for justice seek to save others from corruption, by eliminating those they deem corrupt.

The possible roles for this game
:
2 people are mafia.
Either 0 or 1 person is the doctor.
Either 0 or 1 person is the cop.
3-5 people are townies.
(Otherwise known as the C-9 setup)

We start in day. May the Force be with you.

Rules

1) Please
bold
your vote, and
unvote
before casting a new vote.
2) Once you are dead, you may make 1 non-content post (like Go Jedi!), and that's it.
3) Do not quote any PMs from me.
4) Do not discuss this game outside this thread. Members of the dark side may confer with each other only during night.
5) Do not edit or delete any posts.
6) All choices must be sumbitted before deadline. If I don't receive a choice, nothing will happen.
7) If you will be away for more than 48 hours, please post here to let us know. With that said, I'll give only one prod to lurkers before replacing them.
8) This is a newbie game, feel free to ask questions. Have fun and enjoy!
Blank.

Hi all and welcome to mafiascum. If you have questions feel free to ask the Inexperienced challenged players (either me or pablito or sailor jerry) for explanations, or PM one of our mods (spectrumvoid or Pinky).

Random Vote Damian

Post edited by me (spectrumvoid) to include sailor jerry.
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.

no, you can't edit your posts. in fact, "EBWOP" means "Edited by way of post" - in other words "Since I can't edit my original post, I'll add a second one to show what I wanted to edit".

Secondly, you've already confirmed via PM (since I saw your name bolded in the first post), so there was no need to confirm again. But no harm done in doing so, it's much better to be extra careful than be very careless.

I still don't understand the value of random voting...

But anyway, just checking in.

It's an Essence Elemental. My friend made it in Photoshop.
Thanks, I am aware what EBWOP means.
And I didn't confirm, I meant that until Yellowbounder both confirms and posts, my pressure vote stays on him.

Random votes just serve to stimulate the first bit of discussion!

pablito, are you familiar with the term "pressure vote"? It's only purpose is to get that player to post. The vote will be withdrawn as soon as I see him do something.

I already had a vote, the pressure was obvious. What you did was nothing to add pressure. The first vote gets the message across, the second vote is just a follower.

You're entitled to keep your vote, especially if you want to keep pressure. I unvoted because I don't vote for replacements until they have a chance to defend themselves.

While on the subject of pressure, let's
FOS: Lumos
for not saying much so far.

That's a pretty dodgy reason for voting someone
