Games ending after January the 1st 2007 to ones ending on or before December the 31st 2007are valid nominations for this thread.

If there are too many nominations, next year's judges will have the option to purge them as they wish.

Should a new category be needed/added, it will be open for nominations as well.

* Best Night Scene(s)

Just a note: I think we should make it clear that "Best Performance -- Mafia" refers to all non-SK scumgroups. Bamboomancer got a nomination for being a cult recruit who managed to win Best of the Interent Mafia. Obviously cults are rare enough that they don't warrant their own groups. But exceptional cultist performances still require a category into which they can fit.

No, Most Prolific Player, I believe, refers to the amount of Mafia games you are in, not your celebry status. Thats why Fritz won it, he played the most games (or was believed to)

How in the name of Dana Scully does Addict translate to Most Recognized. The only board where the biggest addict is Most Recognized is a board based on doing drugs. And even then, everybody would be too high or cracked up to recognize anybody else.

I hardly see it as spam. In my traditional eccentric writing style,sure, but we are discussing the intent of titles. Certainly, I have enlightened a poster to some misunderstood intent of a title, as he previously thought it was "Most Recognized", which I believe to be false. Could we have a offical clarification?

I was just about to suggest something like that.

By the way, I always assumed the "most prolific player" award went to the post-happy person who posted the most of anyone inside of mafia games during that year; the person who was both in lots of games and was incredibly active in all of them.

I'd like to suggest "Best (or Funniest) Post" and "Best Performance in a Losing Effort" (Town/Mafia, or in general) as potential categories for this coming year's Scummies.

I second the addition of both categories above. "Best performance in a losing effort" is an absolute

must

, and I've wondered why it hasn't been a category in the past. There are just some games where it seems no amount of good play can overcome the inevibility of a loss; and other times, players lose practically wrapped up games purely through bad luck.
