Sadly, Hjallti is right. In Blagho's game, bassicly the whole town agreed with each other to "Lynch" the jester, just because it was threat removal. I still find it absurd play to aid someone to their win condition, but apparantly people care less if they still have a chance of reaching their own win condition. I even got attacked for being against lynching a jester.

What's the point of a jester where lynching them
doesn't
hurt the town?

To add to the jester debate: What if the jester loses if he gets lynched, but wins if he gets daykilled or nightkilled? Would this twist make the role acceptable?

What's the reason for the role? Why would you
want
a role that works like that?

Actually I think that's an ok role. You have incentive to act like town rather than like scum. You actually have incentive to make scum fear you as much as possible.

As a cheap way to win I can imagine this role trying to fake claim power roles. But this could backfire if they get doc protection, or are counterclaimed.

A nice thing is that even if the scum learn what your role is, it doesn't change anyone's incentives (unless the game ends when you're nked, of course).

Glork's trying to run a game with a bunch of roles like this (Martyr mafia).
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.

I fourth the Korlash nomination for funniest player.

And to add to the Jester conversation. I like jesters but in some ways they are the incarnation of death

Mr. Grey also ran Verbose Mafia 2, and will presumably be running the other two parts of the California trilogy sometime in the future.

Also, "London Mod" won Best Night Scene Writer in 2005, for Cadmium and Leonidas.
Retired as of October 2014.

And Mr. Grey has it currently. I don't see why this is at all an issue when the answer is obvious to anyone who has looked at the game in question.

Probably mith, given that Phoebus isn't around.

He'll select 5 or so people who are representative of MS to decide awards, then write up a massive award show based off of the results/events of the past year.

(And it will all be done in secret! You'll never have a say in who's been selected to the committee. Mu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!)

Uh, pay no attention to the above parenthetical comment. It serves no purpose except for humor.

The event probably will run concurrent with the Oscars (Emmys? one of the award shows.)

Is there some kind of "good effort (not in a game)" award I can nominate AniX for?
