Hey everyone, I'm willing to mod a game or more for Marathon Day:

- The game will start 12:00PM GMT / 8:00AM EST on March 28th.
- This game will have 5-12 players and a closed setup that will be different depending on how many players sign up.
- Also all roles will be pretty basic so don't expect me to do setups similar to my DOOMsville games.
- And this game will be quick, Days last a maximum of

30

45 minutes and Nights last a maximum of 15 minutes.

Letting the setup depend on the number of signups seems like a good idea for other games also. Maybe for weird numbers it's worth digging through old opens or the open thread.

And this game will be quick, Days last a maximum of 30 minutes and Nights last a maximum of 15 minutes.

At that pace, I'd suggest using IM. For a forum game, I can't imagine a pace faster than 1 hour day/ 15 minute night being viable. I envision the game going like this: post, refresh, read the stuff everyone wrote while you typed, refresh to read what was written while you read, post, refresh to read that someone else made the same point you did, ...

I'll pay attention to the game to see how it goes though.

im /in assuming its not the latter.

If speed is the way it's going to be done, I suggest a new lynching system

1. Whoever has the most vote will always die.
1.a. If the most votes are placed on no lynch, (i.e. specifically

vote: no lynch

) then the lynching will not occur.

2. In an event of a tie, the time will be extended by 10 minutes. Everyone must decide voting between the people that are tied. If no decision is achieved after this, then it is no lynch.

Appreciate the suggestions, but I ran another game with similar speedy deadlines and it worked fine, so regular lynching mechanics should work just as good.
