NOTE: We are looking for a replacement for Red/Mad Jackal. PM me or post here if interested.
I promised I'd be revisiting this game idea after some tweaks, so here it is.
The original topic is here:
http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopi ... 85&start=0
This is a game I designed, heavily influenced by the games "Diplomacy" and "Alpha Centauri" and is a game of war and politics.
This new version has some game mechanic improvements, a bigger tech tree, and rules to speed the game along faster (The rules I proposed and the end of the last game to allow "rush research" and making 4 units instead of 1 at a time.). Players now must also start new units inside their starting country.
the object of the game is to simply survive. Each nation starts with 3 cities and 4 units in each of them (15 soldiers), except for black, who has 4 soldiers with 3 soldiers in each of them.
Each player on their turn may attack other units when they move adjacent orthogonally to a enemy unit. Controlling units allow you to spend more resources on making units or technologies.
players can communicate privately, or here publicly to make deals and join forces against another player. You may quote message as much as you want, but you are not allowed to use unvisited or edit your posts. (Exception is me editing the first post, since I am also the mod) Normal rules of good internet manners also apply (of course).
You may also propose and agree on global pacts (like attack anyone who tries to make nuclear weapons). However, no pact is "binding".

I am playing this time with a 20 years (turns) limit.
Post here with what color you want. I will take the last one.
Feel free to post any questions you have about the rules.
Please no editng your posts, invisitext, or messing up the page margins.
(The exception will be for me editing my "mod" posts so they can be clear and updated. )
