Mini 92 - Naive Mafia GAME OVER

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Tue Feb 17, 2004 12:16 pm

Post by Darkblade »

In the comfortable subrub of Silver Spring, a new evil was coming afoot, an evil the residsents never thought they would face. After the brutal mafia takeover of Salisbury last near, everyone was convinced that such a thing could never happen to such a low crime neighborhood.

The town is due for an ugly surprise.

Confirm...

For the record, I detest confirming in the game thread. I personally feel it should be done via PM, e-mail or in the sign-up thread.

mathcam was coming in from a long, exhausting day at work and decided to take a quck stop at a diner. The 60's music and style braught back memories of the good old days. His happy reminising would be brought to a quick end as a bullet ripped through his chest in a drive-by shooting. Mathcam is soon listed in the local paper's obituary.

Private Investigator jeep, meanwhile, was struggling with a file cabnet. He had to investigate the record on someone but the stupid key refused in turn in the lock. He was stuggling so hard with the lock he did not notice his unexpected visitor until a knife was plunged into into back repeativly.

The town members awake to find jeep and mathcam dead. Their naiveness challanged, they discuss what to do next

mathcam, Brother(mason), shot Night One

jeep, Private Investigator, stabbed Night One

Well, the first question is why neither jeep, nor mathcam were protected last night. We either have a doc who doesn't know what he/she is doing, or one who is incompetent or we don't have one at all.

Well, i think it's extremely unlikely that we don't have a doc. Either of the other are certainly possibilities.

Yeah, with two kills tonight, I think its likely that there is a doctor on our side. To add to the posibilities that melchizedek posted, it is possible that our doc got roleblocked.

So,

It's also possible that the doctor didn't protect mathcam or jeep because they figured the mafia wouldn't go after them, since they're the most likely to be doc-protected.

I also don't think we should be reading too much into who was protected. There are several other experienced players in this game. The fact stands that jeep & cam weren't protected. It happens; let's move on.

For my Meaningless Day 1 (MD1) vote,
vote: melchizedek
for sending us on this meaningless tangent.

Interesting that Yggrasil is proposing a role blocker on day one. Beyond that, I refuse to post anything truely meaningful b4 Sketchy or random vote.

Ok, ok. So I will say that it's meaningful that Jeep is labeled as a PI and not a cop.

For the record, I'm also not a fan of in-thread confirms.

I'm not in a random voting mood, so I'll just say that a Private Investigator could be just the same thing as a cop, but that shouldn't be that significant, as he's dead now.
