I have discovered ETC and he rapidly became my favourite warrior by far, displacement tanks are a thing of beauty.

I'm still experimenting with his talenting, the choice between -50% mana cost on guitar solo and +50% knockback on facemelt is an incredibly difficult one because massive knock backs = good but his mana issues = very real.

Not as far as I know... though if you're just now signing up for beta, you likely won't get in until Open Beta. I'd imagine the open beta will come in a month or two, and official launch will be a month after that. Similar to how they did the hearthstone progression

Gold is in-game currency apparently, and 2500 is enough to a low-tier champion. So it's like 450 IP, except that the difference between cheapest and most expensive champions is smaller in HOTS apparently.

Diablo and Tyrande are both $7.50 and Raynor is $4… so that alone is $19. The skins are something like $10 each so another $30. The mounts are generally expensive, but tack on $5 if you want to be conservatively pessimistic. 2500 can get you one 2k hero, or just over half of a 4k hero. A handful are at 7k and another few at 10k and one at 15k.

Overall, the deal works out in your favor. This is more like paying for a starter kit and getting beta access with it rather than paying to get beta access since it all carries over to full release.

To put a $ figure to the gold, its probably about $5 worth, I think. None of this is DLC and is all available in game. The heroes are even purchasable with in-game currency.

The mount might be the only exception. It could be exclusive to this deal. They do tend to do that for mounts. There was an exclusive in the alpha for making a purchase.

This deal works out in your favor if you do the math.
