Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?
I haven't played Galaxy, on account of not wanting to buy a Wii/U.
Howev I really enjoyed Sunshine which I mention only because it seems to be the unpopular opinion. I felt like the change in mechanic was really strong and brought a lot of freshness to the game. The world was vibrant, and the characters were hilarious. The integration of story and gameplay (especially in the water cannon) is really strong.
It's unfortunate that good oral sex excuses bad chemistry. - Korts
Galaxy was awful, 3d Land was worse, Galaxy 2 was marginally better. Haven't played World, don't particularly want to (see Land). Toss up between 64 and Sunshine.
A 3-D game for me shouldn't be a linear game designed to look like it's not. The latter games seem to do that. Also 3D Land was full of dull generic lands and way too easy. 3D World doesnt interest me, because it doesnt seem like my complaints about dull it was have been addressed. Oh wait... Tanooki Mario... yeah... makes me want it less.
Sunshine has its flaws, 64 is aging now... it would be a toss up. I voted Sunshine, but I think if I were to vote again 64 would have taken it with more thought.
Mostly retired. Unless you ask or it's something interesting.
I haven't played the 3D Land/World games but I've heard surprisingly good things about them.
Sunshine had some good ideas and I'm glad it was made but it's not anything I'm psyched over for the most part.
Super Mario 64 was super-creative but it hasn't aged all that well.
Galaxy was extremely pretty but had several dry moments...
...which is why Galaxy 2 was basically the same engine but they decided to make a solid action game out of it, at the cost of "pretty". That's why it's my pick.
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.
I think it's reasonably unfair to look at sm64 or OoT in the context of current games. Skyward Sword is almost surely the best zelda game objectively. But if the newest games aren't better something seriously wrong has happened, you have to consider how the games helped shape the series going forward, and what new things they added. sm64 more or less invented 3d platforming.

I think it's fine to look at something and see how it's aged. There are PLENTY of 3D platformers (like Crash Bandicoot) that have aged just fine.
64 is alright but dated, Sunshine is alright but not something I'd replay, Galaxy is great, Galaxy 2 is great, 3D Land is awful, never played 3D World.
