PRs help town find scum and keep town alive. That's the whole point of PRs. You've advocated that PRs other than cop don't matter. I'm sorry, but winrate statistics prove that that's just blatantly wrong. It's not a sideshow. It's a HUGE part of how you win the game as town.

I honestly played this a little bad, I wanted to lynch Ocean almost whole game and nobody would listen. Was continually called bad by ETL/Ythan.

I thought ETL was town (was right) Ythan was just being an asshate and I completely policy lynched him, which I somewhat regret but honestly that Titus lynch was one of the stupidest lynches all game.

Town kinda deserves this lose. Especially that "lets no lynch" when it was LYLO >.>

I never skipped the newbie queue, was my first game.
Lost in LYLO because the guy said "I don't want to lose to firebringer if he is scum"

Titus played a great game.

W00t! Won the first two Blitz games, one as each alignment! :D
Rob13 wrote:6) The scum team was incredibly obvious.
No denying that. I did think that, up until the last day, we did a good job of distancing between one another, though. So give some credit where credit's due: associatives meant we'd be hard to find, until in lylo where we made it obvious. (We didn't need to hide anymore, because we were going for the win.)

I do agree that individually, we all looked pretty obvious. I put zero effort into hiding my alignment, especially since I thought I was for sure getting lynched for the cop guilty on me.

EspeciallyTheLies wrote:I named each and every single one of the scum team from the jump.
You're also not without blame, EspeciallyTheLies. You basically spearheaded the lynch on Titus, when Titus had 2/3 of the scum (Persivul and OceanWind) locked down on D1. Had you listened to her, we would have had a much harder time.

you handed the PRs to the scumteam on a silver fucking platter.
Again, you claimed VT early, so you contributed to this as well.

While there's no denying town played horribly and that we as a scumteam didn't play strongly, you have to recognize your own faults in the game as well. You are not blameless.

Rob13 wrote:1) Any general thoughts on my modding of blitz?
You gave us VCs basically every page and were on top of prods/replacements. I don't think you could do any better than that.

However, I saw your proposed changes in the dead PT. Given my experience with blitz games, I strongly,
strongly
disagree with your proposed changes. 18 hours for prods is fine, but modkills, I'd discourage. All the blitz games I've seen so far have had replacements lining up fairly rapidly.

EspeciallyTheLies in the dead PT wrote: they should have killed me
We didn't, though, because we had no reason to fear you. As Persivul said: you identified the scum, yes. Nightkilling you when you had claimed VT would only be
validating
your stances, whereas by lynching you we discredited you. You did nothing to earn the nightkill. You did a lot of self-destruction which got you lynched.

Rob13 in the dead PT wrote:I doubt Ranger will think to figure the letters thing out by himself after Persivul goes down (Persivul's been the one doing most of their setup analysis).
You assume too much. I'm not an incompetent newb. (I specifically noted during N1 of the game that I felt bad people were
assuming
I was, because I'm not. I have five years of experience, more than most players in this game.) I put as much effort into a game as I need in order to win. If Persivul and OceanWind had gone down, then I'd have needed to step up my game, but since they didn't, I never needed to.

Rob13 wrote:I mean, your scum team voted together all game long
Not really? I wasn't on the Ythan mislynch or the Titus mislynch, and OceanWind wasn't on the EspeciallyTheLies mislynch. (Though he could have been.) Persivul and OceanWind being on the same lynch makes sense with their mason claim. The worst lynch was the EspeciallyTheLies one, but by then, we had endgame in sight.

4) Persivul coaching Ranger.
Maybe it's because I really didn't need the coaching, but I never saw Persivul coach me. I knew what I was doing the entire time.

It was much harder than normal to find replacements in the blitz format. I PM'd everyone I know who still plays Mafia and has played in my games before/would be willing to help me out. Only two said yes to replacing. If I had needed a third replacement, I seriously doubt whether I could have filled it. Importantly, I was unable to find replacements from the queue or replacement thread. No-one wants to replace into a 30+ page game that's getting 5 more pages per day and has <48 hours to deadline. That's the game state for most of a blitz, by nature. The game is moving too fast to allow for replacements, imo.

I do not plan to modkill as a first option. I will be writing into my ruleset that, upon failure to find a replacement for >24 hours, I reserve the right to modkill the slot. I'll do this only as a last resort after I've tried everything I can to get a replacement.

More importantly, I'll be trying to make sure that no-one who doesn't belong in a blitz game joins in the first place. I'll be screening all players who /in to any future blitzes I run for activity issues.

You may /in to replace, but not /in, to my blitzes if:
* You've ever replaced out of a blitz.
* You've recently had activity issues such as replacing out of any game or receiving excessive prods.

You may not /in or /in to replace to my blitzes if:
* You've demonstrated a long-term trend of activity issues on-site.
* You do not have at least one completed game of on-site experience (so I can access activity).

Blitz maybe should require 2 replacements slots already filled before starting, I don't know.

This is 100% coaching. Town doesn't talk this way to someone they don't think is playing like town. You're telling him to move his vote onto the wagon here.

I would have said that to anyone in that position. And in fact, I had pointed out a town with no vote previously in . There's nothing wrong with town wanting wagons to consolidate with deadline approaching.

So Persivul. You have a scum read as town. You see them doing something scummy (vote parking on a non-wagon close to deadline). You tell them to be more town rather than make the case that they're acting scummy?

This is getting silly. The game's over. Scum no longer have reason to lie. If coaching wasn't his intent, then it wasn't and it was a co-incidence he asked Ranger to switch.

You guys should lay off of Persivul.

Sure. Their response could be informative. And if I wanted to make a case on them later, I could still use the vote parking. They don't get town cred for moving a vote just because someone pressured them to.
