72 did not seem like a town post to me because it was 1) completely useless and 2) something that scum could easily say to try and snag some town points. "I don't see how ranger could townread me" is something that town has no reason to say. Not a strong read by any means.
I don't know. I think yeah generally not a town post. But back on my other site I had games where I would look back at my play and be like: I don't think I'm doing anything very alignment indicative. And then someone comes along and strong town reads me. That always sends up red alerts because in my shoes if I've just been fluffing up the thread and someone strong town reads me the only thought that comes to mind at first is "only scum and me fully know my alignment"

yes, but if the game is so bad with no activity that you have to go by gut, it can be less than optimal scum play to risk things by making activity, especially because, from my experience, that makes you look like a target
Same thing goes for lurking when the rest of the town is active. I think it all depends on the game

hmm. Yeah, but if you're using rangers strategy and assume town once dead, wishing town dead is scummy. I don't know. Cns reaction did seem a bit extreme, though, but he strikes me as more extreme person.
