Lapis Lazuli struggled to understand why the gems would even fight against their perfect gem matriarchs. She failed to see the point of defending some backwater planet. It's for this reason that she had no qualms with being one of the chosen soldiers to meet with Rose's armies. With the abundance of water on the planet, she saw great success with her liquid armies. It wasn't until she met Rose in combat that she realized just how powerful this rebellion was.

With a single reverberation of her shield, all of Lapis' army was rendered into puddles. When she tried to fly away and flee, she was shot down by a laser light cannon and forced to escape into her cracked gem immediately. As she was socketed into the back of a mirror so that she could never escape, Lapis wondered if the day would ever come when she could make things right.

The Galaxy Warp was completely destroyed, as were any other means of Homeworld exerting its control over the Earth.

Wherever a damaged gem reformed as a monster, The Crystal Gems would arrive and put an end to its destruction. Whenever an ancient Gem structure threatened mankind, The Crystal Gems were there to diffuse the situation. It wasn't out of duty or obligation, but simply because they were the Crystal Gems. It's said that if you're evil and you're on the rise, you can count of the four remaining Crystal Gems taking you down. They are the Crystal Gems. They'll always save the day. And if you think they can't, they'll always find a way. And that's why the people of this world believe in Ruby, Amethyst, Pearl... and Steven!
