- Don’t be a dick. This is a heated game but below the belt attacks will not be tolerated. Attack the play not the player.
Animated GIFs
- are of the devil, but they are permitted behind spoilers if clearly labelled as such.
Tiny text

Provable randomness
- is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
Cryptography
- is forbidden. Breadcrumbing is okay.
Confirmation
- You have 24 hours to confirm your role and your alignment by PM. Game will start sooner if everyone confirms. Posting in a private topic counts as confirmation.
Days
- Days last slightly less than 4 days. Extensions will be granted if there are replacements.
Activity
- You must post at least once every 24 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 12 hours to post in the game thread or I will replace you. Saturday and Sunday count as a single day for activity purposes, so if you post on Friday and again on Sunday you won't be prodded. If you are prodded on Saturday then you'll have 24 to post instead of 12. If you need to be absent for longer than this, you should declare

Voting

Lynching
- Days end early when a simple majority of players (50% of living players + 1 rounded down) vote to lynch somebody. If a majority is not reached at deadline or if a majority of the players vote for no lynch, the day will end without a lynch. At evens, 50% is sufficient for no lynch.
Twilight
- Lasts until I lock the thread: usually at the next pagetop. Later if I was afk, sooner if the flipped person requests it. You're still alive until I flip you so you can talk in any game threads you have access to until then.
Night
- Night lasts about 48 hours, ending at 8am GMT.
Action submissions
- You may submit actions via PM or PT. If the actions are not submitted by the deadline then you do nothing that night. You can change your mind as many times before the deadline.
Reminders
- If I don't hear from you about your night actions, I'll PM you 24 hours before the deadline. This doesn't count as a prod. If I still don't hear from you, you will take no action, unless you're scum in which case I'll use an algorithm to determine a fallback kill for you because inactivity nokills are lame.

Get a RoomIn addition to voting for the lynch, if players are engaging in an annoying argument or if you just want a neighbourhood with your friends, players may vote for several players to "get a room".

The number of votes required for a room to go through is

one less than twice the number of occupants of the proposed room

(3 for a 2 person room, 5 for a 3 person room, 13 for a 7 person room, etc.).

Each player is limited to one new room per day phase

because we're not having 78 neighbourhoods in this game. We're just not.

If enough people vote in this manner, those players will gain a

temporary post restriction

that they may not talk to or about each other in public for 48 hours or the rest of the day phase (whichever is shorter). While restricted in this manner, they may continue to vote and unvote each other normally, including room votes and proxying.

The room will

stay open day and night

.

If the players who get the room are not all members of the same scum faction, a

private topic will be created

to continue their discussion.

If they are scum together, the

scum PT will be unlocked for 48 hours

. This situation will appear identical to the general public.

Players who break their post restriction 3 times over the course of the game will

lose their vote for the rest of the current Day phase

. Warnings will be publicly issued and the moderator's discretion is final. Restrictions do not begin until they have been acknowledged by the moderator.

Place a vote using the word "

Get a room

" in bold. Examples:

Get a room: player1, player 2, player 3, etc

(in response to some stupid TvT argument that you’re tired of reading / in response to someone scumhunting your buddy a little too hard)

Abusing this mechanic because you want a room with your friends is fine with me if you can get enough votes to pull it off, but intentionally annoying other players with the sole purpose of gaining a PT is not. Try asking the town nicely like so "Hey guys, otherWallPoster and I want to spend 6 pages walling at each other. If you don't want to read this exchange, help us out:
