A town player wouldn't push the read beyond L-0. A town player would actually want to know what's going to happen.

If you've played as much mafia as you claim, then you know strange role interactions sometimes happen, and bizarre roles get dreamed up or get pulled out of the graveyard and back into games.

At this point, there's no reason to posture the way you are.

Yeah but this game would be hella weird if town had a bunch of Normal roles and then scum has something I've never even heard of. There are roles that hide from trackers, are there roles that fake tracker results?

Okay, when I said no-way, you should really take that to mean 99% sure. If you're town then Seniors is obviously scum.

If you could like... NAME a role that could fool a tracker, maybe you could both be town, but I honestly can't think of one. It's bad modding practice to create a single original role in a game where every other PR has a role with a wiki page. Does Dwlee count for 'weirdness'? Maybe.. maybe we were supposed to take Dwlee as a hint for weirdness? idk. Alright?

But, apparently that would only matter to this one odd-night only role.

The restriction on that role compared to the other claims also sticks out as odd, but I've done things like that, and stranger, in designing games on other sites.

It's a preemptive stance on Seniors being town even if I'm also town and they're caught in what's going to look like a lie, and may very well be a lie.

It goes considerably beyond keeping an open mind.

I feel like nobody here, except maybe myself, who has been interacting with Seniors with the full knowledge of my alignment, should be able to have a snap-opinion like that.

It's something that needs to be weighed up and their ISO combed over carefully, especially the day 1/early day 2 stuff.

hiplop claimed they were hard scumreading me on day 1. They did not give that impression on day 1.

Something else that's troubled me is that Errant Parabola hasn't posted much at all today, and not much really all game. I know he was sick during part of day 1, and it's hard to get back into a fast moving game after being sick. I had that problem on day 2, but the day ended suddenly.

If Errant has been active on site, and I think he has. I think I noticed a sign up for a new game or two. Anyway, if Errant has a really strong preference for one alignment over another, then letting hiplop carry this game could mean something about their alignment.

I've made it very clear that one of you has to be scum. And that I think Seniors is the town, and therefore you have to be the scum. I've never hinted that I would keep townreading Seniors if you flipped town and the game continued.

Who brought up keeping an open mind? I'm kind of lost. You were scumreading Seniors, then you said you had doubts, and now after he doesn't believe that there's some mythical tracker-stopping role, he's scum again? And the only reason you seem to not be scumreading me at the moment is because I've been uncertain about your alignment.

Except I was getting scumread for being uncertain earlier in this game... but now Seniors' certainty is scummy?

And, you don't know how I've been reading Seniors... like, I've been here the whole game, interacting with that hydra. I didn't forget that I wanted them dead day 1, or anything.

PEdit: I dislike reading people based on their activity. My activity within individual games has to do with how the game itself is, for me. Games I care about get more attention, yadda yadda. My own activity isn't consistent across my games or across the week so I'm not going to read people like that. Plus it's way easier to sign up for a game than it is to play the one you're in.

Okay yeah, that's what's in that one post. I'm not 100% clear about my thoughts in any one post, but whatever. I thought I elaborated enough on why I thought the phantom role wasn't happening.

I was just wondering that myself. I guess because I'm here, I'm posting, we're having a conversation... and if the game's about the end because I made a huge mistake on Seniors, then what the hell, right? And if you're scum, there's nothing lost by talking. I ALSO have nothing better to do.
