Perhaps this sort of game might work better as some sort of What's My Line format, with a panel of four players asking questions about a fifth player's identity.

Pretty sure I'd like to run the next round with a change to the scoring system. If the contestant manages to match all the identities with only one incorrect match (Mistaken Identity), then they win $500,000. Incorrect matches after that point reduce your winnings. As such there'd no longer be a mechanic for walking away early with $$.

Kinda based on what Cheery was saying, I'm curious about implementing an Identity Check mechanic in which the contestant selects a particular stranger and identity and asks them a question, which they must answer as if it is truly their identity. An example for last round would be selecting xofelf and the identity "Watched the same film every day for a month" and asking which film it was or what the reason for watching it that many times consecutively was. Could be a lifeline or an opportunity the contestant gets prior to each match attempt.

A phone a friend lifeline sounds potentially fun but I'm trying to figure out how to practically go about it? Was thinking that the contestant can choose any MafiaScum user that isn't a stranger that you have yet to guess the identity of for that round, and I'll invite them to come to the thread and weigh on what they believe are possible and impossible matches. Would be up to the contestant if they want to pick someone that is friends with a particular contestant or just someone that seems generally knowledgeable. If that person doesn't respond in like 48 hours then it could default to, like, the next eligible person in the contestant queue.

I sadly haven't seen Whose Line is It so I'm unsure what Haschel is getting at.

Prior to each attempt at an Identity match, you will have the opportunity to select a stranger, an identity, and one question about the identity you'd like to ask them to help assess if it'd be a good match. They will answer as if it is true regardless of whether it is their identity, so it's up to you to determine if you believe them. For instance, for the identity Watched the same film every day for a month, you might ask a particular stranger what movie it was, some detail about the movie, or why they chose to watch it. You can use a lifeline after asking a question, but you may not ask another question until you've made a match attempt.

Instead of losing outright when you fail to make a correct match and no longer have Mistaken Identity, an incorrect match will just count as money you cannot earn. The game will continue until you've run out of match attempts (up to 12.) Once you've made 8 correct match attempts, you will no longer be able to use any lifelines.

What were you doing that caused you to injure your knee twice?

It was actually two different things.

The first time was when I was playing basketball in high school, fell on my leg wrong after jumping for the ball.

The second time was hiking a couple years ago. I stepped on some loose gravel when I wasn't paying attention and my knee twisted awkwardly.
