And for the record, putting you in the corner was the main reason I used Vine Shot last beat, not the damage, so when you dodged in there on your own it was kind of amusing.

I actually really want to think on this one. Just Compelling/Vanishing and Strike/Grasp have completely different counters depending on the combination, and I don't think any of them overlap across the board. Sorry, but I might not figure out what I want to do for quite a while.

No worries and no hurry. I understand the dilemma and I've made a string of the wrong choices in a row in this game and the one with Cybele. You'll probably figure it out based on how I'm playing at this point, but I'm not in too big a hurry to get smacked around.

@KA: if youd like/have time alongside your match with Troll, would you like to try one out against me. i recently picked up marmalee's alternate UA (from the expansion), and its much more appealing to me than her standard UA, so id like to try it out sometime.

Sure. I have plenty of time, but I am kind of worried that taking on too much will make me feel like stopping completely. If that happens, I'd rather make this set my priority, since it started first, and get to the other game when I feel ready for it.

That being said, I'm not saying that will happen, but it did at least once every Survivor I've played, so I don't want to disappoint you in the event that I end up being really slow about it. At the very least though, I'd want some time to prepare, so I could tomorrow at earliest.

Since everyone else is playing as a different character, I might as well as well.

also, as ive mentioned with Zorblag, im more comfortable with slower games anyways, so that suits me. i dont mind having oue match be second fiddle to this one, and ill be in 2 at once as well, so ill be occupied as well. no pressure!
lymn looks interesting! shes pretty high up on the simple-to-complex scale isnt she? like flight 3 i think? ill read up on her stuff to prep. oh and ill find a transcription of the alt UA that ill be using for Marm. i think ita called power caster.

Marmelee's Alt UA looks much better than her standard one. Which is good as her standard one is really pretty under powered is the conventional wisdom. She needs to avoid stuns like Clive, but doesn't have nearly the toolset to do so. I've played in two duels with here. I beat her with Luc 20 to 0 against someone just learning the game (I tried to talk him into another character, but he wanted the challenge.) Then we switched characters and I squeaked out something like a 4 to 0 victory against Luc with her, but, again, it was that players second game ever. I doubt I would have been able to win again with her if we'd kept playing. And Luc isn't exactly a powerhouse (which was why I picked him.)

The alternate UA is on the Wiki, and yeah it seems like a straight upgrade from the normal ability. When I was first looking at the normal one, it seemed to me like that was completely unplayable, so she really needed it. And I thought I hit post on this before doing ^, but apparently not. Probably because I feel like I have something else to say, but I can't think of what.
