Hey Shadow, is it your first mafia game? what is your playstyle as mafia? This ain't my first mafia game albiet I don't have lotta experience playing long mafia games like on mafiascum, I tend to be active, iso'ing everyone and scumhunting even when mafia.

Hey Mego, I've played quite a bit of Mafia in person, but this will be my first one played via forums, so I don't have a distinct play style yet. I've read through a few games, trying to get a feel for how to play.

Seriously, aside from my early misplay (which I would have done even as town, just reactionary) I don't think that day could have gone much better. As long as I play smart from here on out, I should be fairly well town cleared, and your vote won't get much scrutiny as it was the first one on there and you can say you never even got the chance to take it off. I do think we should try and figure out who the most likely person to be the Cop is. What are your thoughts so far? Vampirate is playing pretty well, but I don't know if that is anything to do with him being a cop or just good play. Also, we could night kill one of the people who didn't vote on that lynch, make more likely mislynch targets.

Hmm, not sure anyone is listening currently, but to bounce my thoughts here, there might not be a town cop but possibly a doctor and a tracker...if this is the case the play goes slightly differently, but still a similar situation
Mod, question for you. If nmego does not return before we get close enough that I want to announce a night action, can I still have him do the actual killing action (so that a tracker would not see me do any action) or does that have to come from him? If he doesn't return with at least 3 hours before our deadline (1400 mst), I'll submit a night action then.

Yes, either mafia member may submit night actions for either member. It is only important that you specify who is taking the action.

You can also submit a prelim action and change it if needed before deadline. This is actually fairly common, that way you don't accidentally miss deadline.

Sorry my play has been a little sloppy the past few days, had some personal stuff blindside me this week.
I think penguin is a tracker, he got crazy antsy when accountant and I talked about the setup. Which begs the question, do we kill him, and regardless, which one of us is more likely to be targeted by a tracker?

Okay, since we're both mafia goons and Huntress was a 1X BP, we're looking at row three. There's a tracker still out there who we need to eliminate tonight.

We need to think about who should perform the kill. Here are the worst case scenarios if I do it:

Running through scenarios where I perform the kill and get tracked.

Spoiler: Scenarios

If Accountant is the tracker:

Option #1: I kill Scarlet. I get lynched, you kill Accountant. You have an easy three-way with Icy and Penguin. We win.

Option #2: I kill Icy. I get tracked, you kill Accountant. You have a three way with Scarlet and Penguin. Won't win.
Option #3: I kill Penguin. I get tracked, you kill Accountant. You have a three way with Scarlet and Icy. Won't win.

If Icy is the tracker:

Option #1: I kill Scarlet. I get lynched, you kill Icy. You have a three way with Accountant and Penguin. We win.

Option #2: I kill Penguin. I get lynched, you kill Icy. You have a three way between Scarlet and Accountant. We might win if you sell the BlackVoid/Accountant team.

Option #3: I kill Accountant. I get lynched, you kill Icy. You have a tough three way with Scarlet and Penguin. Won't win.

If Penguin is the tracker:

Option #1: I kill Scarlet. I get lynched, you kill Penguin. You/Accountant/Icy. Won't win.

Option #2: I kill Accountant. I get lynched, you kill Penguin. You/Scarlet/Icy. Tossup.

Option #3: I kill Icy. I get lynched, you kill Penguin. You/Accountant/Scarlet. Tossup.

If Scarlet is the tracker:

Option #1: I kill Penguin. I get lynched, you kill Scarlet. You/Accountant/Icy. Won't win.

Option #2: I kill Accountant. I get lynched, you kill Scarlet. You/Penguin/Icy. Easy win.
Option #3: I kill Icy. I get lynched, you kill Scarlet. You/Penguin/Accountant. Easy win.

Clearly, our best kill here is Scarlet. If he's the tracker, brilliant. If Accountant or Icy is the tracker and tracks me, you kill them next and win three way easily. The only downfall is if Penguin is the tracker and tracks me. In that case, we'll probably lose.

I think it's actually best if you perform the kill since people are townreading you so you likely won't be tracked.
