The Fruit Vendor role is a variation in which the target is aware of the action performed on them, but not who performed it.

Often, the action is explicitly designed to be impossible to perform at the same time as any other Night action, thus allowing a player to prove that they're doing nothing consequential overnight; t

his is commonly used in Split Motive/Role setups.

That is a really shitty definition of the role, by the way. I'd bring it up with Nexus but technically speaking while a Fruit Vendor is basically a nerfed friendly neighbor (which IS an explicitly Normal role), a fruit vendor is itself not an explicitly Normal role so it's technically outside of his jurisdiction.
I really hate how Fruit Vendor is listed as a role variant on Visitor.
That's not really the case. Nobody uses it that way.
Fruit Vendor is used as a nerfed Friendly Neighbor. It should be classified as a role variant of Friendly Neighbor if it is classified as a role variant at all. (Frankly it's a unique enough role that it should have it's own fucking page.)

I think my mod edits make it abundantly clear I am joking especially since I don't actually read into the alignment of players posting most of the time. (Plus I have an established history of making mod edits as jokes. And it probably helps that my title--even if it's only a temporary April Fools' Day one--is quite literally, ":P". I think that as my title does a nice job to convey just how serious my mod edits are.)

If this game weren't a Normal which was explicitly 10:3 (as in, the only allowed third party is serial killer and I explicitly have none in this game), I would not have made that mod edit. It's fun to be a bit unpredictable as a mod. Being too consistent in game structure can lead to people setup speccing more than scum-hunting, which isn't a tremendously fun way to play imo.

I mean.
The thing that defined me as a mod was how abnormal my games are. They can have a theme to them, but it's often only visible with the benefit of hindsight.
My first mini normal had something like: Mafia Sane Cop, Town Miller, Town Roleblocker, Town Doctor. (Maybe an extra town role, I forget, been a while since I ran that one.) The idea being to invert the typical cop-doctor-roleblocker dynamic.
My large normal featured asymmetric scumteams along with a fair number of shenanigans.
My (Hilariously) Unbalanced Mafia game had something like three cops and three doctors all as town, against a tailor and godfather among others.
Its sequel, (Hilariously) Unbalanced Mafia II, had a rock-paper-scissors mechanic for scumteams, in that each scumteam was immune to the kills of another scumteam, and they were flavored as dictator-fascist-hippie with a red herring in the form of a communist miller plus three other millers, two or three vigs, a bundleload of cops, among them another mafia sane cop. Then Gistou has the whole shitload of factions dynamic that people were still speculating about near the end of the game.

Fun times.

The only thing really predictable about my games is that they are utterly unpredictable. Some roles I tend to use more (~10 stock investigatives, ~6 protectives, roleblockers, bulletproofs), others I use less (things like vengefuls, fruit vendors, friendly neighbors, and neighborizers among others), but I just have a very strong tendency to not do what people think I will do.
