Pokemon is getting really popular on the forum and loads of people don't know about it. Well with this thread, we can teach others!

You may choose to be a teacher for a specific subject like pokemon moves, abilities, types, regions, games and more!


Teachers just /in as the subject they want to teach then make posts in this thread teaching about it, you can switch subjects around if you want.

When teaching posts are made, they'll be added to the OP.


I'll start by /inning for teaching Shadow type since I love the Orre games.

What are pokemon?

Pokemon are a group of fictional creatures that exist in, on and around the pokemon world. They are primarily used in the games to engage in battles with one another though pokemon are used for other things as well.

There are 802 known non-glitch pokemon total. Though there are dozens of variations of certain pokemon.

In the anime, pokemon tend to repeat their names unlike in the games where pokemon have their own vocalization.

Different Rotom forms have different types!

(Also, the Rotom forms are Normal (Ghost), Heat (Fire), Wash (Water), Frost (Ice), Fan (Flying) and Mow (Grass)
Rotom's normal form has 440 base stats, but the others have 520 base stats!

All rotoms are electric type but they all have levitate as an ability so Ground attacks, electric's one weakness, tends not to have an effect.
