this is true but the random voting is part of the game. yes u can pick up scum tells etc from this. its when someone jumps on the bandwagon 4th or 5th for no reason that it gets suss....its when someone reacts to a random vote that you know something is up. it really is a grey area

I agree with SlySly. My actions are very suspicious, and are lynch-worthy.

unvote ryan, vote: Mikeburnfire

I normally have a strict policy against self-voting, but SlySly's argument was too convincing. Die scum die!

I FOR ONE FIND YOUR LATEST ACTION TO BE VERY SCUMMY, MR MBF. VERY SCUMMY INDEED. YOU'VE DONE THAT WHICH ONLY SCUM DO. AND THUS I MUST DO THAT WHICH ONLY TOWN DO WHEN CONFRONTED BY SCUMS AND THEIR SCUMMY ACTIONS.

MBF? I understand this if it was your first random vote, but this doesn't really make that much sense.

hasdg, what do you think of SlySly's affirmation of my self-vote? And then UA's third vote on me.

I think he knows that I'm going to come under scrutiny for it, and is try to get on my bandwagon before people accuse him of being opportunistic.

Meh, well. SlySly's response is a bit iffy to me. He doesn't appear to be questioning it at all, which I find rather strange.

UA seems to be acting slightly hypocritical, since he
always
votes for himself to start out a game, from what I've seen. I'm not sure whether his post was supposed to be funny or not though. I understand a joke post, but one with a vote is rather strange.

I have no true suspicion of MBF in this game so far.

MBF and I are in another active game at the moment and I am sure he understands the reasoning behind my post in this game as do I his. It is all based in smartassery.

We have been battling between each other in the other game for weeks now and I was kind of making a joke/random vote with my vote against him here. I don't have a bias towards him from the other game and to prove such, I will now...

unvote

... and I will start actually searching for scumminess as it appears that the random stage is nearing an end here.

Ok....First of all, I agree with Has' statement on Random voting. If your going to let everything go because of randomness, the game will never start.

MFB's self vote is weird, and seems diffrent from the way I've seen him play before. I'd vote him, but I don't want to Bandwagon. Not sure what I think of anyone else, yet.

I remember that ryan, Lloyd and ooba didn't give a reason for their first vote, yet you focus only on MBF (For a L-5 vote? O_o)
Did ryan, Lloyd and ooba state that they didn't feel the need to explain their vote when someone asked them to?
It seems like you two are discussing the semantic differences of giving a reason, versus feeling the need to explain. I don't see how the semantic differences matter.

Anyhow, to summarize my votes:
- I didn't give a reason for my first vote (it was for Bob)
- I already explained my second vote (it was for ryan) of wanting to put someone at three votes

Ohh, I haven't posted in a while.

Most of the actual contriversy is towards MBF. From what it seems, he just likes like he is trapping scum, testing the waters. It is wierd, but I don't have too much of a problem with him.

SlySly is acting a bit wierd but one of his later posts kind of justifies his acting. Nothing much going on so far, I guess I will do a re-read, look for some holes.

You are correct, the semantics don't matter. I was really just explaining my vote in rhetorical fashion. I wasn't fishing for vote explanations. I usually don't put much stock into random votes.
