Good one Oman. I've seen that most titles come from doing everything except titlehunting. Of course, some titles are far better, funnier or cleverer than others, no one can deny that, but titles should be an extension of someone's "personality".

There are titles referring to a funny event (Oman and PolarBoy being two of the best)
Titles referring to someone's personality (TSQ)
Titles referring to someone's "trademark" (AniX)
Titles referring to someone's playstyle (UltimaAvalon, MeMe)
Titles referring to someone's work (Flay and me)

That's why just saying "X deserves a title" is stupid and has no real value. Judging "not deserved" has no value until someone else thinks the same. Titles are proposed by someone and seconded by a community, not an individual. If you really think someone doesn't deserve a title, help us by proposing something. If not, you might be just jealous.

This is a good post. A title is not a "birth right" you earn by having 100 posts. A title is something you get when you do something that makes the community sit up and take notice.

Thanks Andy, you said exactly what I was thinking. My title is special to me, because it goes back onto sometting that was not only hilariously stupid, but represents my playstyle at the time. I'm sure I would feel much less so if it were decided I should get one then they came up with

something.
