Yes. The other case is the one where Sephiroth is lying. I wouldn't have seen orfhz as scum without the Neo claim. If this is a scum!Sephiroth game, it's certainly a master class.

Don’t forget that scum!Seph would had to have known that Sash and Profii were specifically VT. If one of them said “yeah ummm I’m actually a bodyguard”, then Seph would be fucked.

Is there a scum investigative role in normal games that could feed him that info?

I mean if he were scum, then one of Profii / Sash would most likely be his teammate. But still he has to make a guess with at least one role.

Yeah you would have been able to successfully identify at least one VT player out of profii and Sashaddin, and you would have needed to be certain you wouldn't be lynched.

Oof. I posted my last post without checking this page for new replies. Yeah, that's why I said it would be a master class. He would have to have exceptional skill at reading the game for that to work flying blind. However, you are right to raise the idea that a Mafia Rolecop could definitely feed this information. I hadn't thought of that

BTW if Seph wanted to fake an investigative role like this, he would have pretended to be a cop. Cop just gives alignment, not exact roles like Neapolitan does. Any scum can fake cop easily.

I believe him, but I don't think a Cop would outright claim in this spot for the exact reason you listed: any scum can fake cop easily. Only a team with a Rolecop can fake Neo easily, and only an exceptionally good player can fake Neo without info.
