I feel like the racecar/racetrack connection is the strongest though
Yeah, car is a safe guess. For the second, I actually like Leprechaun better, as in the fantasy race. Or track failing that -- Usain competes in a Track&Field specialty, so if the intent was making us think of him I think it was quite risky a clue unless track was also blue, especially since in general "track" and "race" are also directly semantically linked.

the first (and pretty much only) thing that comes to mind to me here are those turrets from portal which i played recently. so i'm assuming that's what the word means >_>
BOOM is probably my top choice
LASER would be my second choice, because turrets there use lasers to aim - but i'm not sure if that's generally true of turrets so i'll sheep the rest of you on this
BOLT > DROP > FORCE would be my other thoughts, roughly in that order, but hm.

Turret could be a part on a gun or a building. Temple just because it's a building, but on reflection I'll agree it's probably not Temple. I'm sticking with part tho, I feel like turret/part are closely linked because you can have a turret as a part of something else. Also, turrets have parts, there's a link through the theme of mechanisms.
my thoughts before looking at you guys were LASER --> TEMPLE --> PART/BOOM
I think boom is the weakest here but part is so general that it makes me iffy about it so maybe I'm back to boom for the third?
I'd def wanna go laser first and I think temple is strong here -- why not go something like TANK as the clue if it's part/boom/laser?
do we go for 3 here or 2 and then pass?

Anyway, I think Tank could easily imply Force/Jet/Green for instance, turret is quite a specific word in contrast. I think it could well be part/boom/laser
