It came out of me talking to one of my Dad's friends a couple of years ago, weirdly. I'm the youngest of the group by about a decade.

As the producer, I make sure my two main guys have good topics for their podcast (which about a year ago started to air live on twitch too) as well as I usually manage to get an interesting guest to come on and discuss a topic. I handle the patreon (used to just be paypal donations) donations, etc. I also try to do a good deal of interacting with the chat. Doing that lets us grow the audience.
