I like Nibbui so far. I was looking at his progression and interactions with both MEME and Aster: I can see him genuinely trying to draw out their intentions/motivations for himself and for eachother (not in a scummy-referee way). I feel Nibbui has been the most 'open' voice so far this game, and like their focus on Gamma and MEME.


Aster has begun the game very intense/aggressively:

"✓ Statement meant to look townish;
✓ Statement not actually helpful."
"Lemme get our facts straight"
"Let me walk you through his post."
"More facts:"
"Going Deeper"

He/she is demonstrating confidence, pushing very directly/pointedly and I would say possessing over-confidence/arrogance in their own scum hunting ability which I find interesting (and pretty towny). I want to see them post more in real time though, with a more relaxed disposition.

Problem is, I'm absolutely baffled by Gamma at this point; I've never seen him put that much effort in any game I've been with him before, and I've seen him as VT, town PR and scum, so I don't know what to say about his effort in here.

I guess that's a fair point. When I posted that warning, I did think it was a justifiable statement from town perspective, which THE MEME MEN may not. It does seem this situation is somewhat different indeed.

It does seem at least clear that THE MEME MEN did not think their statement through even if he were town. Their revised answers answer questions in a way that conflicts with his warning to be careful with voting. (Amusingly THE MEME MEN have been trying to dodge admitting they were wrong to the best extent they can, and then they suddenly fold when I accuse them of being scum?)

Reconsidering with this perspective, why would THE MEME MEN make the post at all? Was he (1) a misguided townie trying to be helpful who ended up making a not well thought-through statement, (2) a mafioso making a not well thought-through statement motivated by his desire to reap towncred by warning the town about a perceived danger, or (3) a mafioso intentionally giving townish-looking advice that he knows doesn't help town?

Looking at it this way, situation (1) seems a bit more plausible than I had initially considered, though (2) sounds very plausible as well. I do believe their subsequent handling of the situation indicates they're scum.

What is your offsite/overall mafia experience?
I have been an IC in the newbie queue, played a variety of games onsite (30+), and have offsite experience. Left the offsite one though because one player ruined it by being extremely unprofessional.

What was your motivation in making this post? The part about warning people about voting. We aren't in lylo, so why would all four scum be inclined to all join the same wagon and quicklynch a townie on day one, when that would potentially bring all four of them under a lot of scrutiny on day two? Especially if the four scum were all the last four voters on the wagon and quickly voted back-to-back to bring the wagon to lynch. In lylo it would make sense for that to happen, but it doesn't make sense for the scumteam to do that on day one. It seems strange to be discouraging voting this early on in the game, especially since voting/pressuring is one way to help the game transition from "RVS" to "serious mode".
