To the extent it helps, I was only ever going to RVS Clem once I saw the playerlist. A vote on Flippy would produce data, so I wanted to save any vote on him for when it would have meaning. Good start so far. I like where this game is going
Right now I've got town reads on skellen, teacher, and catstar. The first two are pretty obv!town and I liked catstar's thought processes in 80

clem I want to town read. he agrees with me on skellen, good. Paranoia about teacher is pretty meh tho. Teacher feels to me like the type of player one should just allow to be obv!town until he's eloquently pushing a bad argument. I haven't read any of his scum games, but his play is too effortful to replicate as scum without making some ill-considered arguments along the way. I agree with teacher that with time clem will be easier to read by play more than by tone/early content

not town:
emp - not much here yet. good note by teacher on his comment that scum tries too hard. Entrance post is bad, too
birdy - another possibly scum indicative entrance post. I didn't like his 77. I'm also town reading skellen, but his reasons feels fabricated. It's page three. I don't know why town would make the conclusion that *any* slot is unpushable? 78 is a little better even if i disagree

and i do

lich's slot is the scummiest slot in this game.

I already wondered about this last game kind of, but why not voting people who already have one vote? If we all circle vote ourselves we are basically back at start, just with everyone having one vote instead of zero. If the point of RVS is to get people talking or pressure them, then particularly the latter seems pointless to me with that mindset.

Yeah this is true. I just sometimes like to play “in” my RVS if that makes sense. Then get serious once people are talking

I'm ideologically skeptical of treating teacher like he's obvtown because he puts in effort, but his response to me in #123 is good. I do want to say that:

in my original Lich vote here I did in fact focus on language; I'm a big fan of linguistic analysis. maybe you just overlooked this? but my issue was that I had discussed Lich's language in a way that I felt was more concrete than yours, and (as I pointed out, this is WFIOMy AF) it struck me that you could be appealing to my and others' shown interest in scummy language without actually digging very deep.

that being said, I'll admit to being hyperbolic about "following my logic turn-for-turn," especially regarding your realtime conversations with Lich.

I actually was hoping one of the newer players (who isn't you) would notice that I gave reads on everyone but you.

I'm wavering back and forth on you. You've got a couple posts reminding people that scum can play poorly, and that's absolutely true. But I can see a motivation for scum wanting to make people paranoid (same kind of with your teacher read), and as town -i personally at least - would rather make that case surrounding a particular wagon or slot rather than as a blanket statement.

On the other hand, it's townie that you read town play articles at all (mastina's?). Especially considering as scum you could have benefited more from reading teacher's article on scum play and could have used it to push paranoia at his slot.

@teacher what's your confidence level on this slot? might sheep you if it is high
