Nominate Mastina for “There Was Room for a Pun Here”.

I think False Prophet is more a reference to who Mastina used to be on site more than who she is and frankly I think she deserves to be recognized on the basis of the here and now. I’m not opposed to false prophet as a (site) historical reference, I just feel that as Daffy Duck once said “My memes are no longer relevant to the youths.” And that mastina has changed a lot as a person since the days of mastin2 and we can do better than a reference to that.

Mastina herself is a pun maker of no small skill and this is a pretty blatant reference to her preference in giving people titles that include puns.
This is a Parachute.

the only thing is i'm not fully confident whether "a study in x" is an actual naming convention for art pieces or something that just emerged in my mind out of literally nothing. its kind of hard to google. there seems to be a handful of things called "a study in something" (e.g. the first sherlock holmes book "a study in scarlet", and maybe it would seem like the title is just referring to that somehow) but not like conceptual art pieces in the way i'd imagined

I like the idea behind that, dunno if the wording is optimal but it feels a bit deeper than study buddy. A study in threads? A study in posting? Dunno.

I think that phrasing has precedent:

https://www.aci-iac.ca/art-books/mary-h ... -in-greys/

Could also be "study in thread" or one of the others maybe

yeahhhhhh thank you good

i also specifically considered eliding the "a" and also pluralizing threads. i guess "study in thread" would be more catchy and would also make the double entendre cleaner, i just wanted to give reason to think of the word "study" as a noun

Agree. Not only is "Study in X" choppy imo, it's less complete contextually and doesn't have the artistic connotations. It just feels like removing an aspect of the title for no real purpose.

Nominate CreativeMod1 for Operative Excelence

Excelence refers to how he has made positive contributions to the community with cool spreadsheets.
  • The most obvious example is the LSG Mod Spreadsheet Template he made that helps automate and streamline the modding process.
  • Another example would include this Murder Mystery game he made via a spreadsheet that first was a LSG challenge but later also publicized as a fun Mish Mash game.
  • For another LSG challenge, he automated a spreadsheet to give live responses about whether participants made correct or incorrect guesses. It would calculate time penalties based on incorrect guesses.
I thought it would be fun to make it "Operative" Excelence because it references that he mods Codenames as a Mish Mash game. I think it can also represent that he's generally passionate about modding.

I think he likes to keep things entertaining for game spectators and promote positivity, and so I'd be open to alternate suggestions more in a vein of like "Excelent Entertainer." Operative Excelence is the best spin on it that I personally have to offer tho!
Thank you!!! This is really cool and I accept this

Also, may I request the spelling to be "excellence" cos us brits love extra letters in our words :P
