Fundamentally, with everyone’s alignment now revealed, do you not see why I believed in good faith that the only world you were entering the game pushing me was one in which you were scum?

Inb4 the debate on who’s responsible is longer than the actual D5 fight

I just wish it was pulled off a bit better. The scum theatre wasn’t convincing enough with an AFK slot and Titus not bussing enough.

To be fair all Joey lynch did was delaying the inevitable.

keep in mind
from the moment menalque died i wasn't lynching for scum
i was lynching for [guaranteed scum flip on 6 and 5 way] via Norway/Joey as the single most improbable scumteam and then killing off everyone who wasn't Me/Suji
it is true that at the time i was scumreading joey more. but i also wasn't really scumhunting at that point outside of rereading Suji over and over again to make sure she was town.

i think that norway's D2 looked pretty okay in the context of only titus as flipped scum but once i reread it with GL flipped it took on a whole different light

a very wise man mhsmith0 has a saying that i can't quite remember but it's something like
'nothing tears town apart more than several townies having a lot of correct scumreads but all of them having different correct reads'
and that's kinda what hapepned

mhsmith0 has some sort of quote that's extremely meaningfully relevant to pretty much any situation tbh

i'm kinda amazed at the specifics of the criticism of me in dead thread
like i still lynched 50% scum in day phases that scum were lynchable and i don't think us losing the game was ever in the cards, like what path to a scum win were you expecting to happen idk

also I was surprised/flattered RC said this was my best scum game, I definitely didn't feel like I was doing that well or doing that much. Mostly just sitting back and taking advantage of town's random self-implosions but definitely wasn't in charge or control. I feel like I've had better performances in a few Newbie games - definitely much weaker competition but it still feels more dominant when you roll town and scumteam never really falls under threat of lynch.
i'm referring to how well you played, not how well the outcome ended up being. this was a very hard game.
