My only complaints (which I've brought up with chk privately) was getting an "are you sure you wanna do that" PM in response to an ability choice one night when nothing similar had happened previously, and the weirdness with hyperposting (not that I really did anything except follow The Way)

Otherwise fun game. Grog smash.

Your Flavor:

A brutal hunter of Elves and trader with the many Goblin tribes. Bruthazmus found himself in a easy alliance with these rubes for the sake of adding more ears to his necklace and meats in his belly. A simple Bugbear, but he understands the delicacy of the situation he's getting himself into by walking into Cobble with the likes of those he is surrounding himself with. The town itself would have nothing to do with him; however, it wouldn't take much to get a barter going with the right wares. Everyone understands the language of trade and money. He wants nothing to do with this Kutulmak business but he'll do what it takes to keep himself and his new allies alive. And acquire more ears, of course.

    Tsuto Kaijitsu:
    Runelord-Aligned Hammerer / 1-shot Neighborizer

Your Win Condition:

You win when you equal or outnumber town with no opposition from any other entity in the game.

Your Flavor:

Xanesha, the self-proclaimed beacon for "The Cold-Hearted King" Kutulmak, has assembled a team chalk full of the sin of wrath. This has bought the favor of her patron. In return for such a move -- which involved the destruction of families and massive properties -- Kutulmak has graced her with these wretched creatures. They live to serve Kutulmak, protect those it has been sent to, and most of all...
feed
. They hate sunlight. They don't talk. They protecc, they attacc, but most importantly... they have Xanesha's bacc.

Spoiler: Titus, Ruffian
Lyrie Akenja
Image
You are
Lyrie Akenja:
Runelord-Aligned Ruffian

(Origin: Rise of the Runelords, 2012)

Your Ability:

- You MUST send in one target per night to rough up. [As
Rough Up: Player
by PM]
  • If successful, your ability will do one of the following [By d100 roll via PM reply]

  • 01-10: Your target is immobilized. This means they will only be able to use reflexive abilities if able.

  • 11-45: Your target is silenced. This means that, for half of the next day phase, they will be unable to post.

  • 46-80: Your target is roleblocked. This means that their night ability, if any, will be blocked for the evening.

  • 81-00: Your ability does nothing; however, you may still appear in write-ups as having 'roughed up' your target.

Additional Information:

- Your teammates, which can be accessed here, are as follows:
  • Korina, as
    Xanesha:
    Runelord-Aligned Godfather / Brownie Maker

  • Hectic, as
    Nualia:
    Runelord-Aligned Role Cop

  • jadesmar, as
    Bruthazmus:
    Runelord-Aligned Role Thief

  • Gamma Emerald, as
    The Yeth Hounds:
    Runelord-Aligned Doctor

  • Rautherdir, as
    Tsuto Kaijitsu:
    Runelord-Aligned Hammerer / 1-shot Neighborizer

Your Win Condition:

You win when you equal or outnumber town with no opposition from any other entity in the game.

Your Flavor:

Lyrie Akenja is an archaeologist by trade, sure, but the only reason she digs through the old bones of the planet is to find forgotten magics to exploit. Then Tsuto Kaijitsu shows up, employs the smitten girl, and puts all that on top of its head. Then things really start getting hairy when Tsuto reveals a plan to destroy an entire town. What can she say... she's into bad boys and, lets be honest, it isn't like she's entirely innocent herself. Who knows what great magic lies in the crevices of this new place? Not to mention that (just maybe) Tsuto might notice her as more than an accessory to be employed.

Spoiler: pisskop, Role Cop
Nualia Tobyn
Image
You are
Nualia Tobyn:
Runelord-Aligned Role Cop

(Origin: Rise of the Runelords, 2012)

Your Ability:

- You MUST send in one target per night to cop [As

by PM]
  • If successful, you will receive the title of your target's role.

  • e.g. chkflip is
chkflip: self-aligned bulletproof / lynchproof game moderator

Additional Information:

- Your team, which can be found here, are as follows:
  • Korina, as
    Xanesha:
    Runelord-Aligned Godfather / Brownie Maker

  • jadesmar, as
    Bruthazmus:
    Runelord-Aligned Ability Thief

  • Gamma Emerald, as
    The Yeth Hounds:
    Runelord-Aligned Doctor

  • Virgo the Immaculate, as
    Lyrie Akenja:
    Runelord-Aligned Ruffian

  • Rautherdir, as
    Tsuto Kaijitsu:
    Runelord-Aligned Hammerer / 1-shot Neighborizer

Your Win Condition:
you win when you equal or outnumber town with no opposition from any other entity in the game.

Your Flavor:

Life should've been easy as the absolute crown jewel in a beautiful daughter of the town's head priest. Leave it to heartbreak, a broken home, and a bit of magic to change everything. Nualia had fallen in love in the worst kind of way with a boy who'd end up fleeing town after she revealed to him that she was with child. She was plagued with nightmares soon after to the point of giving birth several months too soon to something that was more of an abomination than it was Human or Aasimar. This embarrassed Father Tobyn, who wanted nothing to do with the bastard child as it was, who sent it out in secret in the middle of the night. A young woman can only take so much before the bends turn into breaks and -- not long after her child was taken from her -- the church was burned to the ground and Nualia was thought to be taken with it. Now, she finds herself with a motley crew of misfits... a new family, if you will... with one objective. Kill.

"Your injustices go overlook no longer, oh Father..."

Spoiler: Rautherdir, Hammerer / 1-shot Neighborizer
Tsuto Kaijitsu
Image
You are
Tsuto Kaijitsu:
Runelord-Aligned Hammerer / 1-shot Neighborizer

(Origin: Rise of the Runelords, 2012)

Your Ability:

- You are a Hammerer.
  • This means that, unless you are on the wagon already, you will anonymously hammer ANY wagon that reaches L-1.

- You MAY, at any time, send in one target to neighbor with. [As
Neighborize: Target
by PM]
  • Your target will, as soon as I see it, be set up in a neighborhood thread with you.

  • Neither you nor your new neighbor will learn of the other's alignment, role name, or anything else regarding the game unless otherwise discussed among yourselves inside the neighborhood thread.

Additional Information:

- Your teammates, which can be accessed here, are as follows:
  • Korina, as
    Xanesha:
    Runelord-Aligned Godfather / Brownie Maker

  • Hectic, as
    Nualia:
    Runelord-Aligned Role Cop

  • jadesmar, as
    Bruthazmus:
    Runelord-Aligned Role Thief

  • Gamma Emerald, as
    The Yeth Hounds:
    Runelord-Aligned Doctor

  • Virgo the Immaculate, as
    Lyrie Akenja:
    Runelord-Aligned Ruffian

Your Win Condition:

You win when you equal or outnumber town with no opposition from any other entity in the game.

Your Flavor:

Tsuto Kaijitsu, heir to the proverbial throne that is the Glassworks, had been mistreated and made fun of his entire life as a Half-Elf all because darling mother stepped out. Tsuto is the byproduct and constant reminder to Lonjiku Kaijitsu of that tryst. So the boy was mistreated -- as most half-bloods are -- and cast away by Humans and Elves alike. Until he'd had about enough of that and murdered his father with the plot of burning down his hometown, that is. And then he found himself a new family, a
new home
in the cohorts beside him, which was when fate really turned around for him. The young man feels damn near unstoppable among these new peers.
And he just might be
.

"Come, father. I have... something to show you. It'll be the surprise of the century."

Spoiler: zoraster, Town Traitor / Hated Roleblocker
Orik Vancaskerkin
Image
You are
Orik Vancaskerkin:
Cobble-Aligned Hated Roleblocker

But you are also
Orik Vancaskerkin:
Runelord-Aligned Hated Roleblocker

(Origin: Rise of the Runelords, 2012)

Your Ability:

- You MUST submit a player to 'block' at night [As
Roleblock: Player
by PM]
- You are HATED, meaning it takes one less vote to lynch you.
- You are a TOWN TRAITOR, meaning you're secretly aligned with the mafia team.
  • Until they use a night kill to 'recruit' you, they do not know you exist.

  • This also means that, if investigated while still of the town alignment, you will come up as town.

Additional Information:

- Your team are as follows:
  • Korina, as
    Xanesha:
    Runelord-Aligned Godfather / Brownie Maker

  • jadesmar, as
    Bruthazmus:
    Runelord-Aligned Role Thief

  • Hectic, as
    Nualia:
    Runelord-Aligned Role Cop

  • Gamma Emerald, as
    The Yeth Hounds:
    Runelord-Aligned Doctor

  • Virgo the Immaculate, as
    Lyrie Akenja:
    Runelord-Aligned Ruffian

  • Rautherdir, as
    Tsuto Kaijitsu:
    Runelord-Aligned Hammerer / 1-shot Neighborizer

Your Win Condition:

You win when you equal or outnumber town with no opposition from any other entity in the game.

Your Flavor:

Orik Vancaskerkin: renegade, bodyguard, sellsword. And those are the less
colorful
words that describe this man of many talents. After spending a fair amount of time in the town of Cobble, only one thing comes to mind. Hatred. He simply doesn't get along with almost
anyone
in this wretched place. Innkeepers scoff at his room requests. Shopkeepers always add at least 10% to the normal asking price of items he'd like to purchase. It is with this information that he knows what he must do. Burn the place down with those that he once aligned himself with. But even though they're all familiar with one another (some more intimately than others), there was a bit of a falling out with the boss that puts any sort of current allegiance to the wayside. So now he waits for his time to strike.

"Not sure what you expected when you treated me like dirt from the day I walked in."

The Death Knight (SK + Backup Team)

Spoiler: Elements, Serial Killer
Lord Soth, the Death Knight
Image
You are
Lord Soth:
Death-Aligned Bulletproof Serial Killer

(Origin: Dragonlance Chronicles, Volume 3: Dragons of Spring Dawning, 1985)

Your Ability:

- You MUST target one player in the game during each night phase.
  • If you are successful, they die.

- You are Bulletproof.
  • You cannot successfully be the target of night kills without having this ability hindered in some way.

Additional Information:

- You are here because you were summoned.
  • You have a teammate, but do not know who they are.

  • They know who you are; they
    summoned
    you here after all.

  • If at any time you die or are lynched, they will continue in your stead after one night of transition.

Your Win Condition:

You win when Death-Aligned outnumber all other entities in the game.

Your Flavor:

At 6'5" and wearing ancient Solamnic plate armor, if not by the armor or build then by the sword on the hilt on his hip that has blackened from the blood of its victims, it becomes immediately mortifying to those who meet with the glowing crimson eyes of Lord Soth. Although he is a hate-filled evil entity, he fights with honor. His sword falls not onto his opponent's back, nor by surprise, nor by way of an opponent unarmed. This is an evil of order. One that must look you in the eye before it ends you. If it so happens that Lord Soth is faced with an opponent that does not meet his requirements, however, he will do what is necessary to move forward with his plan. That plan?
Complete annihilation.
It has been some time since he stepped foot on these lands, certainly, but Lord Soth never defies those that rule over him. He was sent here for a reason and he will see that reason out to the very end.

Spoiler: Miss Lynch, Vote Manipulator / Back up
Azarr Kul, Cleric of Tiamat
Image

You are
Azarr Kul:
Death-Aligned Vote Manipulator

(Origin: Red Hand of Doom, 2006)

Your Ability:

- During the day phase, you may manipulate up to three votes. [As
Manipulate: Player, Votee
by PM]
  • These votes cannot be moved for the rest of the day phase once manipulated.

  • This means new votes, unvotes, etc, will not change the target of your manipulation.

Additional Information:

- You wanted to summon Tiamat, but Lord Soth appeared instead. You don't know how or why.
  • You are aligned with Elements, who is
    Lord Soth:
    Death-Aligned Bulletproof Serial Killer
    .

  • You cannot communicate with them outside of the game thread.

  • They know you exist; however, they do not know who you are.

  • If, for whatever reason, the serial killer leaves the game, you become the serial killer after one night of transition from your current role.

Your Win Condition:

You win when Death-Aligned outnumber all other entities in the game.

Your Flavor:

Azarr Kul, the Half-Dragon Hobgoblin Cleric of Tiamat, is the leader of the Kulkor Zhul tribe, a fanatic and unrelenting tribe of hobgoblins who pledge allegiance to two entities only: the blue dragon Tyrgarun, and the Queen of Evil Dragons, Tiamat. Azarr Kul braved the seas North and ended up in new, unknown lands to him and his people.
'Glorious,'
he thought to himself.
'New meat to sacrifice or convert to the love of Tiamat.'
Upon discovering an abandoned church on the outskirts of a big city known by locals as Cobble, Azarr found it a perfect place to consecrate and -- combined with all previous sacrifices he'd made to his deity -- summon She Who Bore Them All. Tiamat, however, has other plans for Azarr Kul. Plans that include the annihilation of the city before him. It wouldn't be until what comes ahead that he would come to this realization with equaled honor and glee. Kul stands strong even without the help of the Red Horde (his most elite band of warriors). He will use his gold dragon armor and magical sickle any way he can to make certain as a means to an end, the end of Cobble, his desires are met.

The Ascenscion (Cult)

Spoiler: Dr Easy Bake, Cult Leader
Explictica Defilus
Image
You are
Explictica Defilus:
Ascension-Aligned Cult Leader

(Origin: TSR's Dungeon Module N1: Against the Cult of the Reptile God, 1982)

Your Ability:

- You MUST target one player in the game during each night phase [As per
CULT: Player
by PM].
  • If you are successful, they vanillaize and become your
    Cult Follower
    .

  • You will be alerted of your success or failure via reply in this PM thread.

  • You will not have the ability to speak with them outside the game.

  • They will be updated with each new cult member recruited.

  • IF YOU TARGET SCUM, YOU DIE.

Your Win Condition:

You win when you equal or outnumber town with no opposition from any other entity in the game.

Your Flavor:

Explictica Defilus is perhaps one of the most powerful spirit nagas to ever live. Her age, shown not only by the discoloration and fray of her scales, may be seen from the battle scars laden across her sleek snake-like body and missing left fang. Her legacy spreads across the land in the form of nightmarish legends and folklore involving a large serpentine beast with the face of a human hissing you into a trance with it's magical emerald-colored eyes. These stories, however, are at least a hundred years old if you asked even the most astute historian. The fearsome creature -- unbeknownst to all -- traveled too far north into the mountains and fell to an icy doom, remaining frozen for centuries. That is, until she was recently discovered by a none-too-curious sorcerer out on a stroll. Poor girl had no idea they were in over their head until it was too late and she was tranced by the foul beast. And so they travel down the mountain to the well-fortified city of Cobble. Not knowing what to expect when they arrive, Explictica sends her new minion forward...

The Cobbletons (Town)

Spoiler: EspressoPatronum, Mason Bookie
Ace Brocolla
Image
You are
Ace Brocolla:
Cobble-Aligned Bookie

(Origin: Homebrew, 2019)

Your Ability:

- Before the start of any given day phase, you may guess who is to be the day's lynch [As per
BOOK: PLAYER
via PM].
  • You can win a prize if you guess correctly.

  • You can choose
    offense
    or
    defense
    if you win.

  • Once chosen, you will be awarded a 1-shot use of an ability associated with being offensive/defensive in regards to mafia. It does not expire.

  • You will not be able to place a bet on the next lynch the night you use a 1-shot ability.

Additional Information:

You are in a mason, found here, with the following:
  • BBmolla, as
    Illena Bareleaf:
    Cobble-Aligned Flavor Cop

  • gobbledygook, as
    Homeless Jimmy:
    Cobble-Aligned Fisherman

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

There isn't anyone slimier than the owner of Cobble's Colosseum, Ace Brocolla. So slimy in fact that he got very nervous about who might think he had a hand in the happenings as they played out. He grabbed the first two people he saw in a panic and gave the ultimate elevator pitch: Cobble's Outstanding Persons Squad! Go figure that one of those in passing was Illena Bareleaf, Cobble's newest and greenest town guard. The other? Ace is more familiar with this guy since all of their time spent sleeping or begging in front of the colosseum. Homeless Jimmy has been a bit of a burden to Ace but, hey, survival of the fittest and Ace can always use a meat shield so at least he gets away. Then there's the gambling problems. In the darkest corners of Cobble are where Ace can find the right person to always,
always
make some sort of wager. What's life without risk?

"Wanna bet?"

Spoiler: gobbledygook, Mason Fisherman
Homeless Jimmy
Image
You are
Homeless Jimmy:
Cobble-Aligned Fisherman

(Origin: Homebrew, 2005)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one item to attempt to "fish out" at night. [As
Fisherman: Item
or
ability
by PM]
- The list of available items is as follows (with the % chance you have of obtaining them):
  • 10% Potion of Cure Light Wounds (Doctor)

  • 15% Magnifying Glass (Cop)

  • 20% Sword (Vigilante)

  • 20% Shield (Bulletproof)

  • 25% Stray Dog (Tracker)

  • 25% Camouflage Net (Watcher)

- Each item is a one-shot use only. You may substitute using a found item instead of fishing; you cannot do both on the same night.
- You do not need to "activate" the bulletproof ability. Though you will, alternatively, automatically fail your ability check.
- You will be told when your bulletproof has been used.

Additional Information:

You are in a mason group, located here, with the following:
BBmolla, as
Illena Bareleaf:
Cobble-Aligned Flavor Cop

EspressoPatronum, as
Ace Brocolla:
Cobble-Aligned Bookie

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

A street urchin by day, a... well... street urchin by night as well. This, however, didn't stop Ace Brocolla from employing him as a member of C.O.P.S. (Cobble's Outstanding Persons Squad). Alongside a green-thumbed town guard and a shifty-but-innocent owner/operator of the town's coliseum, Jimmy has been reinvigorated into finding something useful to do with his evenings. What better thing to do than sift through refuse? One man's trash, another man's treasure after all. Though it should be said that poor Jimmy is -- ahem -- easily distracted and therefore not particularly good at finding what he's out to look for. But doing literally anything is better than standing around and waiting to die.

"Now I swears I know I seent it somewhere 'round these parts here, now."

Spoiler: BBmolla, Mason Flavor Cop
Illena Bareleaf
Image
You are
Illena Bareleaf:
Cobble-Aligned Flavor Cop

(Origin: Homebrew, 2017)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one player to cop per night [As
Flavor: Person
by PM]
  • You will receive the flavor name and general information about the character of the player.

  • For example, if you copped yourself, you'd receive
Illena Bareleaf; young and naive yet determined to help
    .

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Additional Information:

You are in a mason, located here, with the following:
  • EspressoPatronum, as
    Ace Brocolla:
    Cobble-Aligned Bookie

  • gobbledygook, as
    Homeless Jimmy:
    Cobble-Aligned Fisherman

Your Flavor:

Illena Bareleaf joined the guard just in time for the absolute worst thing in the colorful history of the city to unfold. The poor girl's white-knuckle nervous but knows her strengths. Sure, she's not as great at scoping a potential perpetrator out and knowing right off the bat whether or not they've got murder in their eyes. And of course she couldn't look at a dead body (the thought turns her stomach) and know all the details of who might've been there and why. What she can do is... well... um... she can ask for a name! And write down a general summary of what their demeanor tells her! She's young, she's a bit naive, but all in all this pure little thing just wants to do what's right for her hometown. And may the Gods bless her for it.

"E-excuse me, sir or ma'am, can I, um, ask you a couple of questions?"

Spoiler: Creature, Super Saint
Quickdraw Daniels
Image
You are
Quickdraw Daniels:
Cobble-Aligned Super Saint

(Origin: Homebrew, 1999)

Your Ability:

- If you are ever the subject to a lynch, you will reflexively kill whomever was the last to vote for you.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Ol' "Quickdraw" thinks himself the fastest hands in all of Cobble. Long story short, he has on many occasions been able to shoot first when the going got tough and he found himself in a pinch against... well... anybody. Surrounded by wild dogs? Shoot 'em. Misunderstanding in the wilderness? Shoot 'em. Beggar on the road asking for a spare copper, but he didn't hear them and felt a startling tug on his tunic? Shoot 'em. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, no, but he's still a tool nevertheless.

"Is there a problem?"

Spoiler: chennisden, Faith Healer
Father Frields
Image
You are
Father Frields:
Cobble-Aligned Faith Healer

(Origin: Homebrew, 1999)

Your Ability:

- You may choose to attempt to protect someone from a night kill [As per
PROTECT: PLAYER
via PM].
  • A Faith Healer has a 50% chance of being successful.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Father Frields, perhaps the oldest and most well known of all the different priests in Cobble, is a cornerstone of the community. So of course he'd go out at night and try to do his part in protecting the townsfolk that have looked to him for guidance and healing all these years. You'd think he'd take all that stuff off to do so. He doesn't. It gets in the way. But that won't stop him from spreading the good word and showing Her grace through his actions.

"Glory be Desna! May she protect our families and our livelihoods in these trying times."

Spoiler: Vorkuta, Sleepwalker
Geoffrey the Tired
Image
You are
Geoffrey the Tired:
Cobble-Aligned Sleepwalker

(Origin: Homebrew, 2011)

Your Ability:

- At night, you will randomly visit someone living in the player list.
  • You will not choose the target.

  • You will not be told of the target.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Geoffrey is a hard working farmer. So hard working that it is fairly commonplace that he'll be found asleep almost anywhere. Nothing he has sought out has remedied this poor deficit. What he doesn't know, however, is that he'll oft times get up and walk around in his sleep. You'd think this would be easily found out when he wakes up in random places; unfortunately, he falls asleep so randomly that he thinks he got there while he was awake! The poor sod.

Spoiler: davesaz, Beloved Princess
Princess Peach
Image
You are
Princess Peach:
Cobble-Aligned Beloved Princess

(Origin: Super Mario Bros., 1985)

Your Ability:

- If you are ever night-killed, the game will immediately lose the following day phase and go immediately into the next night.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Wait... this can't be right. Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom? How? Why?? Well, it's Mainstream Mafia after all. A stream of games that initially got its flavor from whatever was in the mainstream at the time. Walking Dead, Doctor Who, you name it! Though this lovely lady is completely out of place here, it seems, she'll still do what she can with what she's got to make certain this lovely little town doesn't fall to the evils of Bowser! Or, well, whomever it is doing dastardly deeds around here.

Spoiler: xofelf, anti-cult spotter
Arthur Timberland
Image
You are
Arthur Timberland:
Cobble-Aligned Anti-Cult Spotter

(Origin: Homebrew, 2002)

Your Ability:

- Every day phase, you will be given the current count of the cult in the game.
  • This number will never be altered or falsified on purpose by me.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

The night shift at the North tower is by far the most daunting and bothersome shift Arthur has ever had as a town guard. Until a little
excitement
began to happen. It's so easy to see up here! Though he can't quite make out how it's happening, he can very clearly see the glowing eyes of the creature and what it's doing to those it preys upon. Frightening stuff. He'd go investigate... but then (he fears) he may become one of them! Best to stay at a distance and report back whats been found out. What a coward.

"That seems like a sergeant-level issue there... better to write it down and live than investigate and die."

Spoiler: Menalque, Lover
Margaret Krimsen
Image
You are
Margaret Krimsen:
Cobble-Aligned Lover

(Origin: Homebrew, 2014)

Your Ability:

- You are Lovers with The Fonz. If anything is to happen to them (lynch or nightkill), you will commit suicide.
  • The same applies to your Lover.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Genevieve and Margaret met on one fateful night many moons ago, falling deeply and passionately in love in the coming weeks after that. Cobble isn't a bigoted town; however, your father and her sister aren't exactly keen on a relationship such as this one. So it is hidden. For years, you've simply been 'best friends' in the eyes of your families... but for how long? At what cost? Can these people really not know what goes on behind closed doors? Part of you hurts to think of what might happen. Another hurts because that's a thought at all.

Spoiler: Firebringer, Poisoner
Marceline
Image
You are
Marceline:
Cobble-Aligned Odd-Night Poisoner

(Origin: Homebrew, 2014)

Your Ability:

- You may, on odd-nights, choose a target to poison [As per
POISON: TARGET
by PM].
  • If successful, your target will die at the end of the next night.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

To most, Marceline is the happy wife to the town's shopkeeper. Nobody knows of the nefarious things she gets herself into at night. And when the town seemed to be under attack from all sides? Well... they'll soon learn the ability and worth of a shopkeeper's wife. It takes her a while to get the ingredients for her brew and even longer for her to concoct the brew properly. If she were any better at it, however, there might not be anybody left to deal with the aftermath.

Spoiler: Wooper, PBO
Ubdibah Black
Image
You are
Ubdibah Black:
Cobble-Aligned Paranoid Bat Owner

(Origin: Homebrew, 2002)

Your Ability:

- Anyone who targets you at night will be silenced for half of the upcoming day phase.
  • This means that they will be unable to post, vote, or do anything in-game for that duration.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Ubdibah is a reclusive witch doctor who lives in the outskirts of Cobble for safety and peace of mind. He doesn't like company, or people in general for that matter, especially at night when he is performing his occult duties for his patron Kutulmak. Though he is a bit of a strange egg doesn't mean he doesn't want the place he lives to turn into some cesspool of evil and death. So he spends his days doing what he can with what he's got and goes home to do his own thing at night. May the Gods have mercy on any poor soul who wanders too near to his hut.

Spoiler: RCEnigma, Political Speech Writer / 1-shot L Rod
Lady Estelle, The Baroness
Image
You are
Lady Estelle:
Cobble-Aligned Political Speech Writer / 1-shot Lightning Rod

(Origin: Homebrew, 2014)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one player to write about, then one player to send it to [As
Politicize: Player 1, Player 2
by PM].
  • In doing so, I will generate a personalized, flavor-based letter about player 1 to be sent to player 2

  • You will neither receive a copy of said letter, nor know if it was sent successfully.

- You MAY, at any time, bring all night actions to yourself. [As
Lightning Rod: Activate
by PM]
  • If successful, you will extinguish all night actions performed against anyone else in the game and bring them all down to you.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Lady Estelle, Baroness of the Southwest Sector of King's Land, is a woman of the highest regard. There isn't a being in the city of Cobble that doesn't know who she is, what she does, or who she answers to. All attempts on her life (though few) have failed due to her keen intellect and martial prowess. The Baroness, as swift with a blade as she is with a pen, knows no fear and no equal inside or outside of her sector save the King himself; however, even
he
sends messengers or letters requesting her abilities or thoughts. Most often she can be found walking the streets of her greatest city. At night she confines herself to the study in her keep. What goes on in that infamous office is nobody's business but hers and those closest to her. But now that her greatest accomplishment, this bustling city, is under the greatest duress it has ever seen? One must fear what she has up her sleeve because -- as long as she's alive and well -- Cobble
will not fall
.

Spoiler: Chemist1422, Bodyguard
Gek, "The Webfoot"
Image
You are
"The Webfoot" Gek:
Cobble-Aligned Bodyguard

(Origin: Homebrew, 2019)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one player to protect each night [As
Bodyguard: Player
by PM].
  • If successful, any night kill performed against your target will fall upon you instead.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Gek, known by some simply as "The Webfoot" for obvious reasons, is a simple little Grippli. He lives in the keep with Lady Estelle, Baroness of the Southwest Sector of King's Land, as her most trusted bodyguard. There hasn't been a moment where she was in distress that he wasn't right there by her side protecting her with a powerful spell, his staff, and his naturally sticky tongue. Though he does not appear particularly stout, strong, or swift, Gek is by and large the best bodyguard she's got due to his tenacity and ability to compromise with what he's got in any given situation. Born an abandoned tadpole, Gek was taken in when Lady Estelle was still a young little girl full of hopes and dreams. Now? There's no bond stronger than that of these two. But it isn't exactly the Lady, now, that heeds his call or needs his protection. What will he do? Who can he trust?

"You... cannot... succeed."

Spoiler: cyrus62, Vengeful
Aldern Foxglove
Image
You are
Aldern Foxglove:
Cobble-Aligned Vengeful Townie

(Origin: Rise of the Runelords, 2012)

Your Ability:

- You MUST, when lynched or night killed, choose one person to kill. [As
Vengekill: Player
by PM]
  • If you do not choose within X amount of time a choice will be made for you.

  • You may choose this target beforehand so that, in the event of your being AFK during said lynch/kill, your kill is not randomly chosen for you.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

A high-class nobleman with a penchant for the strange due to the extended family history in necromancy and lichdom. But nevermind all that! Aldern is far more interested in touting around and flaunting all those platinum pieces in his coffers rife for the spending. Though he isn't the smartest, kindest, or fairest nobleman in the land... well, at least he can protect himself from "certain Goblining" by unsheathing the sword inside his fancy schmancy walking stick. It should be stated, however, that Aldern Foxglove isn't particularly known for being a swift fellow. He has actually been spotted on a time or two (likely from catching the wrong eye with all those platinum pieces) running for his life. But hey! At least he'll go down swinging. That's gotta count for something... right?

"Help! Heeeeelp!"

Spoiler: Doctor Drew, Modified PGO
Thia, "The Man Slayer"
Image
You are
Thia:
Cobble-Aligned Modified Paranoid Gun Owner

(Origin: Homebrew, 2019)

Your Ability:

- Anyone that targets you at night has the
potential
to die.
  • Typically, anybody who targets a PGO simply dies.

  • Due to the strength and swing of the role, you will only kill those who target you if they are men or monsters.

  • This means that anyone female (in in-game flavor) can target you without fear of death.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.
Your Flavor:

Thia "The Man Slayer" was once Thia "The Monster Slayer" and, even before that, was once simply known as Thia. Her story isn't a terribly long or tragic one. She is but an adventurer with a penchant for coming in at clutch points and taking down the enemy. It started many moons ago against a particularly nasty vargouille. The creature's fierce shriek tore through the hearts and minds of all of her allies.
All of them
. And the kicker? If you're kissed by a vargouille, in as long as 24 hours you BECOME a vargouille. So, with everyone she knows petrified in shock and fear, she took down the wretched scum single handedly. This then moved on to a battle against a massive group of Bugbear. One particular one, the leader, was almost impossible to even
hit
let alone
kill
. Again, her group turned to her and again she delivered. With things like these come a great sense of self and responsibility. And paranoia. So if she is approached by that of man or monster... something bad just might happen to the wrong person.

"Surely you've heard of me, though there's no man or monster living who have met my blade."

Spoiler: Cephrir, Universal Backup
Gimmi D'Alebringer
Image
You are
Gimmi D'Alebringer:
Cobble-Aligned Universal Backup

(Origin: Homebrew, 2007)

Your Ability:

- At any point D2 onward, you may choose a role that has flipped and claim that role power. [As
Claim: Player
by PM]
  • You gain the abilities they had in life, but will remain your current alignment.

  • If you attempt to absorb a role that is impossible for town to have, a modified version will be appointed to you.

  • You may only use this universal backup role once. After you become whatever role you chose, that's it.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Gimmi D'Alebringer, barkeeper... innkeeper... sole proprietor of Cobble's most sought after establishment for ale and rest in The Rotten Crop. A former farmer-turned-adventurer that took an arrow to the knee, Gimmi has seen it all and been it all. He has dabbled in so many different things that it's safe to say there isn't anything that GD hasn't at least tried to do. But with many attempts comes many more failures, many stresses, and many tales to tell. All perfect for a barkeeper. People love a good story after all. For now, however, he'll just watch and wait for his time to pick his axe back up to get on that proverbial grind.

"Oh, aye... I know a thing'er two 'bout that as well."

Spoiler: TrueSoulEnergy, Executioner
Lotslegs Eats Goblin Babies Many
Image
You are
Lotslegs Eat Goblin Babies Many:
Cobble-Aligned Executioner

(Origin: We Be Goblins, 2011)

Your Ability:

- You may, at any point a wagon is ~50% +1 to lynch, execute a lynch wagon [As
EXECUTE
in the game thread].
  • For example, on D1 the wagon will need to be at 21 to lynch. At 11 (50% +1), you may use your ability.

  • There is no limit to the amount of times you may execute wagons.

  • When you execute a wagon, the day ends with that lynch.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

The underbelly of Cobble is cold, dark, dangerous, and the favorite place to be if you're a giant man-eating spider. Originally from the Brinestump Marsh, Lotslegs Eat Goblin Babies Many was once the bane of the Goblins of the Licktoad Tribe. But times are tough and Goblins in that marsh are few and far between. This led to the giant spider crawling into a cave... that led to a crevasse... that lead to an abandoned Dwarf ruin of a mineshaft... that led to the refuse system underneath a booming city. Spiders don't know right from wrong, no, but what they do know is that angry (and loud) two-legged vermin will come prying into their home if the spider isn't careful. So it waits for the best time to strike for it's next meal.

Spoiler: Flavor Leaf, Deputy
Bobert the Drunkard
Image
You are
Bobert the Drunkard:
Thode-Aligned Deputy

(Origin: Homebrew, 2011)

Your Ability:

- You do not currently have any additional power aside from your vote.
- HOWEVER, you will receive a cop or cop-like ability upon the death of a cop role.
  • This does not guarantee the existence of a cop role.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Oh, great *hic* guard of the nearby farming town of Thode, your great neighbor calls upon you! Well... sort of? What had happened was simple: you fell asleep after guard duty at The Rotten Crop -- your favorite tavern -- and now you've found yourself stuck in a bit of an inescapable situation. The guards won't let you out of Cobble! So, now, you've got yourself some free days off that you'll be using by *hic* draining all the copper out of your coffers for ales aplenty. Certainly it's best to just leave this to the
professionals
, right? No need to go sticking your neck out for people that don't stick their neck out for you. Drink it up, fair guard... your next may not come as soon as you'd like it to. Gods forbid they find out you're around and actually give you something *hic* LEGITIMATE to do. That'd be truly terrible.

"What's the cheapest way for me to get drunk here, exactly?"

Spoiler: Pine, Motivator
Cayden Cailean
Image
You are
Cayden Caliean:
Cobble-Aligned Motivator

(Origin: Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting, 2008)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose a target at night to motivate [As
Motivate: Player
by PM].
  • The motivated player will then be able to use their role on double the amount of normal targets.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

You're known by most as either the 'Lucky Drunk', 'The Drunken Hero', 'The Accidental God', or simply... Cayden Caliean, deity of ale, freedom, bravery, and wine. You're quite literally a
God
; however, due to the actions of those before you, it is strictly against the law of deities (Nethys himself would strike you down) to get directly involved in the squabbles of mortals. But you're clever. Nobody wrote that you couldn't
give a nudge
to one person at a time to push the whole event along one way or the other. There are certain powers you wouldn't like to see given more strength, sure, but you can't be seen as being in favor of one side or the other. Therefore, you spend your evenings drinking and zapping almost aimlessly just to kind of see what happens. No matter WHAT happens, certainly the entirety of the lands would fall under slavery, fear, or worse... dry counties! The thought even makes your Godly skin shudder.

Here's to Cayden! May he show us wisdom in the bottom of a glass.

Spoiler: AaronFrost, Bomb / Suicide Bomber
Kik the Paranoid
Image
You are
Kik the Paranoid:
Cobble-Aligned Bomb / Suicide Bomber

(Origin: Homebrew, 2005)

Your Ability:

- If you are ever targeted for a night kill, you will take the assailant out with you.
- You may, alternatively, take your bomb on the offensive and take the kill to them first [As
Suicide: Player
by PM].

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Were you orphaned at a young age? Made fun of for your different appearance as an adolescent? Given poor prices due to the fact that most adventuring parties consider you a
monster
for slaying? Well... maybe... but you're
motherfucking
kobold
. You live and breathe off of two things: tinkering with traps and a general paranoia about anything and everything. Your home has so many traps that you aren't surprised to set off one or two long-forgotten ones every now and again. It only furthers your need to toy with the trap because -- you're still breathing after all -- the trap simply wasn't deadly enough. May the Gods have mercy on any fool that tries to enter your humble abode with ill thoughts. You'll happily kill yourself (and them) before letting any fool best you. Nobody bests Kik and his traps... but Kik and his traps, of course!

Spoiler: KidAmn, Jailkeeper
Grog Strongjaw
Image
You are
Grog Strongjaw:
Cobble-Aligned Jailkeeper

(Origin: Critical Role, 2015)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one player to block and protect simultaneously [As
Jailkeep: Player
by PM]
  • This will make your target unable to be nightkilled.

  • This will ALSO block them from "going out" that night as well.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Often counseled for your expertise in shapes, colors, and eheh... shiny things... you're Grog Strongjaw! You're not from this town, this region, or even this
reality
, but that doesn't matter. You wouldn't even begin to comprehend what any of that meant anyway. Regardless, you're really a kind fellow and -- when called to action -- will do nothing less of help in any way you can. If that means using the sharpness of your blade to protect those around you or simply stop someone from going out and doing wrong is neither here nor there to you. What matters is that you do your part between flagons of ale and visits to establishments to pay for... lady favors... eheheheh.

Spoiler: Bingle, FBI Agent
Delilah Fenton
Image
You are
Delilah "Chastity" Fenton:
Cobble-Aligned FBI Agent

(Origin: Homebrew, 2017)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one player to cop per night [As
FBI: Person
by PM]
  • You will receive whether or not that player is the serial killer via YES or NO response.

  • For example, if you copped yourself, you'd receive
    NO
    .

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Delilah has been a very unique and focused master of knowing whether or not the person she is looking into was guilty of the crime. But now, in the face of true adversity, she'll have to use every skill (and magic item) she has to find the culprit before it becomes a long -- and dangerous -- string of killings in her beloved hometown. Through her Ring of True Sight, her wit, and her friends in town, it'll take every ounce of her to find and take down this new killer... before the new killer
finds her
.

"I am the harbinger of the moral code from which this town lays its foundation. They don't call me 'Chastity' for nothing."

Spoiler: Amrun, Forensic Cop
Maximillian Vaughn Krimsen
Image
You are
Maximillian Vaughn Krimsen:
Cobble-Aligned Forensic Cop

(Origin: Homebrew, 2017)

Your Ability:

- You MUST choose one corpse to investigate per night [As per
Forensics: Person
by PM]
  • You will receive a list of six names, mostly randomized (aside from the killer), before day phase.

  • For example, if you investigate an N1 corpse (no matter what N-phase it is), you will get the name of the assailant and five other names randomized and in random order.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Perhaps Cobble's strangest oddity. Maximillian has had a penchant for the dead since he was a small boy. It started with peculiar, unexplainable happenings, but manifested itself truly when he touched the corpse of his grandfather and immediately wrote a list of people. He turned this into the town mayor and, after several days, had a hand in finding the culprit. Since then -- as a wee lad of 12 -- he's been the go-to for the town in finding out if someone died naturally or though nefarious means. Though his lists haven't always been able to find the culprit, his success rate is greater than those of the town guard's typical means of investigation and in all things keeping his great town safe.

"Bring me... to the corpse. I shall analyze it and, most assuredly, find your culprit... or I am not Maximillian Vaughn Krimsen."

Spoiler: Pink Ball, 1-shot Bulletproof Innocent Child
Orphan Alex
Image
You are
Orphan Alex:
Cobble-Aligned Innocent Child

(Origin: Homebrew, 2019)

Your Ability:

- You are an Innocent Child; however, you may decide when that is declared to the game [As per
DECLARE
via PM]
- You are also 1-shot bulletproof, meaning you will absorb one night kill and live.
  • You will be told when the bulletproof has been lost.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Her backstory sounds like that of an edgelord carbon copying mostly from Batman, sure, but the life of the streets is all poor Alex has ever known. It wasn't until things started getting weird in her town that she knew that even she could be of some use. She went to the town guard to offer her knowledge of the dark alleys and darker people; however, she was turned away with nothing more than a scoff. For what could they learn from a minor street urchin that they didn't already know? Time will certainly tell, but she will remain ready with her hood up and her eyes down. Surely there's something she can do... she hopes.

"Spare a copper... or a cupcake?"

Spoiler: Nero Cain, Inventor
Nimyn
Image
You are
Nimyn:
Cobble-Aligned Inventor

(Origin: Homebrew, 2001)

Your Ability:

- You may send any player an anti-cult item once per night phase [As per
GIFT: PLAYER
via PM]
  • Your gifts are random; however, you will be told what it is and what it does.

  • Not every gift is particularly great. Like every inventor, sometimes you invent duds.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Little Nimyn was born with wonder in her eyes. She would often find herself in trouble for sneaking off with trinkets from here and there that she'd be found after having reassembled them into some larger, more intricate piece. That is until she found a mentor in a cantankerous old Gnome by the name of S. B. Blib. The rest... is history. She has been an integral part in honing the city's fortifications, finding herself at the beck and call of many a Cobble citizen for one thing or another. She thought, rightfully so, that she found her place in the world and that maybe someday there'd be a statue of her with all her accomplishments listed on a plaque below. Nimyn, so doe-eyed and fresh faced, wasn't ready for the night that would change the fabric of her hometown... but that doesn't mean she wasn't prepared. She immediately knew what needed to be done.

"C'mon, Ollie... let's go home and play with our toys."

Spoiler: InsideJob711, JoaT
Paulie Babadibippa
Image
You are
Paulie "Dangerously" Babadibippa:
Cobble-Aligned Jack of All Trades

(Origin: Homebrew, 2002)

Your Ability:

- Your abilities are as follows, each one shot: Voyeur, Doctor, Hider, Commuter, Judge, and Doublevoter
  • If you use a day action, you are ineligible to perform any night action abilities that night.

  • Voyeur: you will receive, if anything, the types of roles performed on your target.

  • Doctor: you will protect your target from being killed during that night.

  • Hider: you will choose a target to hide behind; however, you WILL die if they are night killed or are scum.

  • Commuter: you will simply leave the general area, essentially being unable to be the target of anything that night.

  • Judge: you will reset all votes during the day phase; however, day phase does not restart entirely. You simply wash the vote count.

  • Doublevoter: you become a double voter for the remainder of that day phase.

  • You will submit these actions (as
    Ability: Target
    ) by PM ONLY.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Born into the trade of travelling shopkeeper, Paulie Babadibippa has lived a wild life full of intrigue and danger. He has dined in castles with kings and queens and hid in alleyways with pork and beans. He knows hard times and knows how to chew the fat with the highly established in almost any realm. He's a survivor, for sure, but in this town he's a well-known figure among the masses as being a well-established businessman regardless of not actually having a 'home base' to speak of.

"Bold of you to assume that I don't have exactly what you're looking for, kid."

Spoiler: Untrod Tripod, Cult Cop
Ronan Thomias
Image
You are
Ronan Thomias:
Cobble-Aligned Cult Cop

(Origin: Homebrew, 2010)

Your Ability:

- You MUST investigate once per night phase [As per
CULT COP: PLAYER
via PM]
  • You will receive one of three responses: CULT, NOT CULT, or UNKNOWN.

  • CULT means they are either the leader or have been culted (on that night or a night prior).

  • NOT CULT means they are not currently cult; this does not mean that cannot change.

  • UNKNOWN means that you were, for some reason, unable to discern whether or not they're cult.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Ronan Thomias, Paladin of Iomedae, right hand man to the baroness of the Southwest sector. The first to enter and last to leave every battlefield he has ever stepped foot on. Retreat? Not an option. Surrender? Never. Ronan will call upon the almighty Iomedae herself before giving an inch on his morals or his paladin code. Perhaps one of the greatest warriors in Cobble's longstanding history, this man takes no prisoners and leaves no quarter. He's all in until the very end and has no problem keeping himself -- and those around him -- alive long enough to see the task complete. That is... until today.

"Do you have a moment to speak about the magnificence of Iomedae?"

Spoiler: Iconeum, Parasite
Fumbus
Image
You are
Fumbus:
Cobble-Aligned 1-Shot Parasite

(Origin: Homebrew, 2001)

Your Ability:

- On night 1, you MUST acquire the role of another player [As per
PARASITE: PLAYER
via PM]
  • You become bulletproof while your host is still alive; however, you may still be lynched.

  • On odd nights, you may take control of your parasite's ability [As per
    CONTROL: NEW TARGET

  • You will not be told what your parasite's ability is in this role PM.

  • Your parasite will not be told their new target in their role PM.

Your Win Condition:

You win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Fumbus wasn't always
mad
, but he's always been a tinkering little Goblin with a downright fetish for seeing if he can master the power of mind control. He thinks he's finally gotten it down and what a great time to have made such a devilish discovery. So many happenings in town! So many unspeakable evils! Perhaps... with enough gumption, effort, and a little bit of mad luck, he can nab the right guinea pig to protect himself and the city he has come to
love
tolerate. Or maybe he has finally fallen hard and the power will consume him.

"Fumbus like when him have *hic* drink buddy."

Spoiler: Formerfish, Gladiator
Unnamed Orc Warrior
Image
You are
Unnamed Orc Warrior:
Cobble-Aligned Gladiator

(Origin: Beowulf, ~975-1025 AD)

Your Ability:

- At any point during a day phase, you may choose to gladiate with up to two other players [As
Challenge: Player & Player
by posting, bolded, in the game thread.]
  • This will reset the vote count and place you and those challenged as the only available lynch options.

  • You may use this as much or as little as you'd like to. There is no limit to the number of times you can gladiate.

Your Win Condition:
you win when all anti-town entities have been eliminated.

Your Flavor:

Orcs are on average the evil to be struck down where they stand; however, there are times when an Orc will stand proud with Humans, Elves, and the other more well-known races of good. Especially so when said Orc gains a certain amount of notoriety as one of the fiercest opponents to grace the coliseum perhaps ever. Heck, if he were any more famous... people might actually start to remember his name. A feat among Orcs! Until then, most common folk just keep their distance or stand in awe from afar. I had a lot of fun and think I used my role almost as well as I could have. This game lured me back to the site and I’ve enjoyed playing again. Thanks!

You and BBmolla were my two PMs that were gone, replied, and played! I loved it!

Big shout out to the handful that replied but didn't join.

Sure, but it’s also a legitimate tactic, especially for scum.

My gripes with this game were as follows:

Scum without chat is a negative fun choice.
Changing up rules mid game is pretty eh, if someone is making the game unbearable there’s a lynch for a reason.
Miss Lynch was sk aligned and didn’t show up as sk/ elements wasn’t really an sk because his faction had two players.
Action resolution could have been a little tighter, which is likely a result of wanting to open days as early as possible. Imo, it’s best to wait a few hours to be able to make sure all of your actions/pms are accounted for.
Motivator choosing at night because mid night resolutions can suck as a player if you don’t expect them.
Partial flipless (nonstandard roles that didn’t flip with a description) without advertising it as such (that I can remember).
Your rule against asking for role information clarification. While answering most questions with “I can’t answer that.” Is fine, sometimes there just IS something you need to clarify and disallowing that is a poor choice (not that you actually stuck to that when it became clear you shouldn’t.)
At the very least you should have had an active backup for supplemental vote counts, but preferably you could have used math or one of the other auto vote count programs. 1 person for vote counts with 40 players is just an unrealistic amount of work to keep up long term.

Note: none of this means I didn’t enjoy the game or think it was astonishingly well run for a superlarge. These were just my notes as a mod on things you might want to change for the future.

GG all, and thanks for the fun game chk. While it was not the brutal bloodbath I expected, I’m not at all disappointed in how it turned out.

GOTY and Paperback, duh.

If someone wants to nom it for best setup they can, ig, but I don’t think it’s quite there because of the difficulties with it being a 40p game.

b/c unless your post restriction IS to spam post you don't need to do it. It just depends on the quality of the playerlist.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Ahh I see. The mason chat will show you more about the reasons for your lynch. I didn't say all of it because I didn't want to out the masons at that time.

For what it's worth, your lynch got us on the trail of the Bugbear (which was crucial near the end).

I liked that the flavor mattered. It added a dimension to the game.

Nope. I also wasn't given any flavor.

Is there a "happiest little accident" award?

My rules certainly need updating for sure. That'll happen before my next game.

Also generally so little toxicity in this game for what kind of game it was. Especially after TSE died. Very nice

I guess the larger the game, the easier to rid yourselves of toxicity without game throwing.
