When I have a really strong read, what am I supposed to do? Not push it? The stronger a read, the more I want to push it. This game I had really really strong reads really really early. And I cared this game. I really really cared. I invested in it--I invested more into this game than the entirety of my site-wide presence anywhere else. With that level of investment, with that level of care...I don't know how to tone it down. I don't know how to, when I am that invested, when I am that "into" a game. To not push.

The problem isn't that u have a strong read and ur pushing it.

Its that u don't look for any evidence or flat out ignore anything else that could contradict it. And you will do it for 100+ pages.

I used to do that.
I learned some hard lessons and had to figure away to reassess things. Took some time off MS too. All which i think helped me.

Eh. This is a sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I put a lot of effort into looking for evidence. Other times I mostly just wing it on gut combined with relying on others' perspectives to refine things.

This I don't do though. If I did, then my reads wouldn't have changed at all--but they did. The reads that didn't change had good reasons to have not changed. That's not "ignoring anything contradicting the read", that's, "all the evidence is supporting the read".

That was your mistake.

Saying I am scum when I'm not, will invoke an entirely different reaction than saying Not_Mafia is scum when he is.

One will be tainted because it's ME you're calling, wrongly, scum; one will become sheepable because it's a nothingness slot you're, correctly, calling scum.

I'm only still a bit in disbelief that BB had so many other wagons to join but persistently choose his buddy one away from defeat.

It's such...puzzling play. BB, when you get here, what were you thinking persistently voting NM today...? (It wasn't only once, he insisted on NM multiple times)

You had...so many opportunities to go elsewhere.

if you think about it, if BB hadn't bussed, we would probably not have reached L-1 in NM, he wouldn't have claimed in such a nonsense way, and he might not even be lynched since people wanted to do halloween first.

The game ending this early...is because scum bussed themselves when they had 0, exactly 0 incentive, to do so. They had even a shot on winning in halloween, and pushing me would be pretty good once cakez/eve flipped town.

I'm in a spiral to understand this...

Look back at the parts where the teams were set as Me/Nero Churros/NM

The goal was to make it one of the town vs scum on the other side

Which turned into scum vs scum

Which meant sure, I could unvote and believe that NM is suddenly town

But not in a believable way, and then we would have to wait for the WW person to replace in

If the bus had worked it would have been a game winning play

But it didn’t

So my bad NM and Yshtola

I see what you might be going for but that was really a lot more risky/low reward in my opinion than getting Elmo lynch when I wagoned him and later 1v1 with me or going along with gobbles, flipping Cakez and discrediting me later.

Having to lynch any two scum, makes it a really difficult wincon for scum. If it were two in the same game or 1 in each, it would be more balanced.

I think my sr on RC slot was at least partially influenced by him sr me, because I wanted him to be scum rather than the fact, that once again, he read me incorrectly. I think I really just didn’t want to accept that. :/
