Unfortunately I don't have that option for this.
Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.

Okay, made a risky play for Vi's 12. It's a different genre (risky!), but the way I came to like the song is similar to my previous two submissions. I wasn't sure how I felt about it on first listen, but over time I decided I liked it.

It is a difficult song though, and I'll explain more when entries are revealed.

Put in what I was gonna submit before I swapped it with the mashup. It was featured on a tv show, but I found it on Spotify.

Also, I was expecting a bit more ribbing on the Super Playlist composition. Even I think one of the songs in there is trash(that I still love).

I think I'm gonna skip this time.
I don't mind listening to all the songs. I wouldn't mind if I had to hear them twice.
I don't mind deciding whether I like song A or song B better.
I get flustered and confused at the step where I have to rank them into a list 12 items long and keep moving things up and down and oh I forgot this song that was pretty good was even in the contest and I remember deciding A>B>C>D>A which doesn't actually make sense ok, American Pie is #8, wait the form is asking for the country name, not the song name.
If it was only a top 3 it'd be easier, but the sorting part seems pretty effortless for everyone else from the way they're posting, maybe other people can develop more distinct memorable impressions about the songs that makes it easier and as someone who's not a true enthusiast for music that's harder for me.

It's not. I spent like 10 minutes figuring out the order of my top 3 last contest after listening to them all twice.

Even after doing stuff like that, I'm usually early to finish compared to the rest of the pack, so I imagine a lot of people have it worse in some way.

The secret to the Contest is that as long as you submit a valid ballot, how you ordered the songs doesn't really matter (potential dirty looks aside), so you can put as much or as little effort into it as you feel necessary.

I get worried every time I submit the ballot for these because I know I will regret a song's placement or that I didn't represent a song properly or that there's a dissonance between my write-up and my vote.

It is by no means easy, but it is part of the fun in some ways.

my policy is basically "the top 5 matter and the bottom 5 don't" and it's easier to pick out my absolute favorites than to try and rigidly sort lower-scoring entries that don't matter as much anyways. wherever things end up after two listens is what i submit

Yeah I'll keep it real I listen to them all once unless one is REALLY good and getting on my personal playlist and then submit half-heartedly based off my notes.

I tend to rank them in sets, so every song gets a number 1 through 5. 1 means it's utter garbage, 5 means it's fucking amazing. I'll sometimes add a + or - beside the number if I feel it should be at the lower end of that range. After finishing there's usually a nice obvious list for the top 5 at least, and it's rare I have to struggle too much to work out an order.

I put the first song I like at 12, and then as I listen to others if I like them more I move the rest down, and if I like them less I put them lower if space remains. If I don't like a song at all it doesn't get on the list. Then I leave the ones I liked open in tabs so I can re-listen as necessary to rank. But I also don't usually worry about the songs in the 1-6 point range as to whether they are ranked 100% perfect.

something that helps me with my entries is figuring out which song is my 'baseline', or the most average entry that's probably getting my 6 or 7 points, sort the other songs as vaguely better or worse than that song, then adjust from there

plus I usually have a 12 in mind or at least a tie for 10/12 so that helps with the top half

During my first pass I throw entries into Points!, Points, Points?, No Points, No Points., and No. and leave the order within the tiers for later.

Sometimes things jump tiers in either direction on my second pass and that's okay. I know I'm going to treat entries differently if they're first, sixth, or 25th in line on my first pass, so on my second run I listen to them in order from best to worst to see what changes.

1 or 2 point giveaways have definitely made the difference to the winner of at least one contest fwiw.

I'll probably do the next contest I just need a break from this

I also might vote anyone knowing that I can flake if I wannoo cause I didn't submit a song so it's less stressy
