I don't think it's impossible for Ruler to be scum or anything, but there are certain things that I think Ruler v2 did that are more likely to come from town than scum.
For example, I do still hold to the theory that alt-hunting and making guesses about someone's actions / alignment based on what you _think_ you know of who they are is more a town thing than a scum thing. This isn't like a 100% town tell though, and scum could very easily do this if they thought it landed them some sort of advantage, but uh... I think the way Ruler went about that sort of thing seems more likely to come from town.
I do also still really like this reaction:
Ruler: "Also fuck off calling me dead weight as scum."
Assassin: "did i hurt baby's feelings"
Ruler: "Yes, baby is good scum."-

"AE can I get your thoughts on the eod movement onto Assassin (haven't read how that developed yet either)."
Why Alter Ego? Because he thought he had figured out who Alter Ego is and probably valued that opinion, I guess? I'm trying to think about why scum-Ruler here singles out Alter Ego if he isn't even angling for a scum read on Alter Ego.-

"I would have given Archer a ton of points if they stuck to Avenger"
This is an example of an incredibly weak positive interaction. It's just a weird way to mention a buddy, where you're not even calling his actions town, just saying he would have seemed town if he hadn't done something.
It's incredibly weak because I guess scum could still do this, I just don't see like... the goal of it, I guess? I think maybe it's because I think "if I were scum, I'd wanna come down with a more concrete conclusion about it" sort of thing, maybe? But I am increasingly aware that I need to remember people don't think like me.-

On that note, I should mention that the person I thought Assassin was is probably not who Assassin is. I originally thought "oh, he knows who this Prism dude is, I'll go check out Prism games for someone who posts in all lowercase and see if I get any matches" and then I found some other dude who did that and thought "ok fits".
Now I'm guessing Assassin is just another retiree coming back into the work force.-

Oh, I should mention that even independent of the whole lover stuff at the end of yesterday, I had a reason to assume Saber was not scum with caster:
Saber kept calling me Moon Caster...
It suggests a lack of consciousness of there being a "Caster" and a "Moon Cancer" in two separate slots in this game, basically.
(This is ignoring other interactions which made them seem unlikely to be scum together too, I just thought that was an interesting thing that happened though.)
On a related note,
Ruler: "I keep confusing this slot with saber tbh and don't have a strong impression of them."
This happened to me, too - I kept confusing Lancer / Saber (and I literally almost just wrote "Laber and Sancer"). It's weaker than the mix-up Saber was doing, but I kind of believe this and I believe it _could_ come from someone who's less conscious of them.
That said, if Lancer and Saber are both scum, it means very little. And I suspect that's the case. Ergo, incredibly weak positive association.-

Overall it's not a strong enough town read that I'm going to be shocked if it is incorrect, but I do want to think about the reasons I went wrong if Ruler is actually scum.
The problem I have is that if Ruler is town, then uh...
OK, Lancer's scum. But who else?
If I assume Alter Ego's read on Rider isn't faulty, then uh... what? Beast is left?
Eh..................-

I think I just want to get rid of Lancer tomorrow and then think about whether or not Ruler makes the most sense as the final scum after that.
Lucky for me, though... I have a role that actually alleviates the need for me to think about that if we eliminate scum tomorrow!
On that note, I should probably check..................................
How does roleblocking interact with Faceless Moon?
Scenario A: "Roleblocker A" targets "Player B" N1. I target "Roleblocker A" N2 and "Roleblocker A" targets me N2. Am I roleblocked or does my action apply before "Roleblocker A"?
Scenario B: "Roleblocker A" targets me N1. I target "Roleblocker A" N2 and "Roleblocker A" targets player B N2. What the fuck happens here? Because I think I just created a a time paradox.-

The general answer to this is that "Taunts resolve before any other action in the game, and a taunt is applied on a night, then sits active until it fires off on the second night"In post 739, Servant Moon Cancer wrote:I think I just want to get rid of Lancer tomorrow and then think about whether or not Ruler makes the most sense as the final scum after that.

And then, a Miracle, a Dance Game and a flight of fancy struck, one more game into the abyss

Cabd can overrule this explanation (or delete it if he thinks it divulges too much info for some reason), but for Scenario A: your action applies first, so Roleblocker A is forced to target Player B again. Scenario B: your action applies first, so Roleblocker A targets you instead of player B, which blocks any additional actions you might take that night. In post 739, Servant Moon Cancer wrote:How does roleblocking interact with Faceless Moon?
