So basically, it’s S_S or ico probably and S_S i very much doubt has anything mechanical in his favour, but Sigmund has a point that he was being targeted by VFP yesterday in a way that doesn’t seem like bussing

I found that post empty. Obviously it was a meta read, the question could be considered posting for the sake of posting.

The post isn't of concern itself, but the way SS is playing before and after

VFP what are your thoughts on Ico?

So I have 0 experience with Ico and I have no meta knowledge.
But Ico just comes across as not caring and just to be in everyone's face.

The read list isn't of anything to be impressed with I agree there, and is pretty lazy. However, that would suggest that Ico is being lazy in general.
If scum, Ico is looking for the "scum don't do this" and most likely putting effort into their posts to get this read, so a lazy read post doesn't fit in this situation.
This goes back to my lack of caring comment.

The biggest down fall I see with Ico is still having Sigmund as scum while responding positively to my post about Sigmund being town.

I do think though that Ico would be a bad lim today regardless.

fresh water. mostly unspoiled food. electricity and a laptop. even a toilet. datisi couldn't understand what georgebailey had been complaining about. his basement had everything that a human needed.

"oh geoooorge...?"

unlocking the door and walking down the stairs, datisi called out for george. george got up from the laptop and turned around to look at him. datisi was smiling, but it was easy to tell that there was no genuine joy present on his face.

"hey george, we have a problem. you see, the new game that i'm modding is about to get a pass and be put into signups. and, as the responsible moderator that i am, i decided to check if i have enough flavour ready for it."

ah, so it was about the game flavour. well, ever since george got yelled at for his game design suggestions, such as "9p setup, all jesters" or "add 3 backup millers", datisi wasn't coming to him because of mech.

"it turns out, i do not! i've gone through what you've sent me, and i was only able to collect about 35 images of flavour to use! that is not enough, george! unlike *some* moderators, i do not have vc's only once every three days! i don't leave work for my backups!"

thinking back to the last time george was forced into free labour, he would beg to differ. not only did he have to make one full vote count, he even had to do a nightstart.

"i have consistent vc's! if i end up with a player list full of talkative players, that won't last me one game day! what, am i expected to actually make the flavour for my own game myself!?"

after waiting for a bit to make sure that datisi was done with ranting, george walked over to him and handed him a bunch of pictures.

"i've been working on those for a while." as george was talking, datisi started looking through them. "i joined the official artbreeder discord in order to learn how to create better images. they've gone through the code of the program and figured out how to adjust the inputs for it to create literally anything. it took me a bit to figure it out, but..."

datisi saw depictions of photorealistic faces, of breathtaking landscapes, of magnificent works of architecture and design.

"so... do you like them? will you... will you finally let me go home to--"

he didn't get to finish his question, as datisi took the images and, in one motion, ripped them all in half.

"george, i think you've misunderstood." the horror on george's face upon seeing his creations destroyed didn't faze datisi in the slightest. "the flavour of this game is supposed to be unsettling. it's supposed to make you regret typing that "/in". y'know, like the setup probably will."

datisi started climbing back up the stairs up to the door, leaving the ripped pieces on the floor behind him.

"the game will probably be going live soon. try to have actual flavour ready for me by then."

the next morning - or rather, the next afternoon - datisi woke up to a text message from lilith, telling him that his game has passed review and is going to be put into singups, under one condition. callforjudgement insisted that datisi let the good people of the micro queue know in advance that the setup is a godless clusterfuck that should not be seeing the light of day.

a bit redundant, datisi thought, the signups already say "designed by datisi", but sure.

datisi headed over to the micro queue, gave the disclaimer, and let lilith know about the pre-in he had that he definitely didn't bribe nor bully anyone for. afterwards, he went back home to quickly let george know that the game was in signups, and that it wouldn't be good if he had to start the game without adequate flavour ready.

as he was leaving the basement and locking the door, he could hear a scream from the inside of it, followed by sounds of plates shattering. george was having a manic breakdown again, and after only not seeing the sun for about a week. last time it took two weeks to get to that point. datisi made a mental note to only use paper plates from now on.

the day afterwards, datisi got another message from lilith, this time telling him that the game has filled. somewhat sooner than expected, but hey, he *was* popular.

throwing a cursory glance at the player list, he saw a couple of names he'd modded for before. remembering some of their comments after his previous games, and considering that they were signing up on their own free will, he couldn't help but wonder if they had masochistic tendencies.

in a good mood, datisi headed down to the basement. to his surprise, the flavour was ready, and the images george's created this time were sufficiently unsettling. thanking george and putting them into his backpack, datisi let him know that the game was full, and that he should go get ready.

george didn't seem to be thrilled about the game filling and him having to do backup work once again. he was whining about "just having pulled an all-nighter creating flavour" and "not having seen his family in over two weeks". datisi told him to suck it up; it would be bad moderation practice if the players heard him talking like that.

it took the two of them about 45 minutes to get onto the square where the game was to take place. datisi thought how it probably would've taken no longer than half an hour if george hadn't been dawdling the whole way. and he even bought george a coffee to help him wake up a little.

the 9 players were already there, waiting for them. datisi smiled and waved at the small crowd, then elbowed george to make him do the same. making his way into the middle, datisi opened his backpack, took his megaphone out, turned it on, and said,

"welcome to Micro 1013: Images Made on Artbreeder!"
