but solution is to add more players IMO and make it a 3 player scum team and potentially more mechs.

There is the WIFOM and I also don't think you read the part of the game where I made it look like Psyche and I were going to quickhammer Dan. T3 made the wrong choice, sure, but his choice wasn't so unreasonable that you should beat him up over it.
