you find nothing out of the ordinary for a temple, you see some silver candlesticks that could be used as weapons or sold for a bit of money if you stole them.

Ashlyn has been transposed from her usual spite to peaceful calm, her age seems to fade a little as a result of this.

Tanzime continues his speech.

"Friends, we want to help. We want to lift up the poor, the destitute, the masses of people in this city that are working hard for no reward. Those that cannot work. Those that cannot advance. Those that are cast aside as different. We are all special. We are all great here."

About halfway through his speech, the message starts to change.

"There is a grave threat to all in this city. I speak of werecreatures, people who turn into beasts and commit atrocities. I believe this is part of the reason people are kept down in this city. The Emerald Queen doesn't care about our plight and ignores it and we face this danger, together. But we can exterminate it. If you even so much as suspect anyone of being a werewolf or other creature of the night, please don't hesitate to come forward to me."

He goes back to talking about those living in poverty.

"I don't have enough to give to all of you but I know that one day a reckoning will come to Tel Nadev, where all will be made equal. That is what the prophecies are telling us. That is my hope and dream for this great city."

Elf has a number of questions tumbling through his head, considering. Who is the Emerald Queen? She sounds like a bad person. What does he mean about the reason people are being kept down? He accepts that this werecreature concern exists, but suspects Tanzime may simply be misunderstanding them, or that they are rightly rebellious, rather than that the speaker has an evil agenda. He shares in the hope of people becoming more equal.

"We should of course help people succeed, everyone should get that chance to be great and thrive" Dizilpaan thinks to himself. "These good hardworking people of modest means seem like a good lot for wanting to help those less fortunate." Dizilpaan resonates with the message of helping others more at least on a conscious level. He does not know much about the were creatures or what not so he kinda puts that info in the back of his mind and focuses more on the overt message about poverty.

The cause brings memories about Cael's helpless village.

“Yes, we must help those in need! If we don't we are just as bad as those responsible for poverty and hunger!”

Thwick continues observing the crowd although he isn't quite sure what he's looking for.

Thwick doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Tanzime finishes his speech and the crowd applauds. The music stops and the bard takes a small bow.

"Well then. I'd love to speak to some of you and get to know you better. Let me step off this stage and you can ask me anything you want, I'm an open book." He steps off the stage as people start to file out of the pews. Some sycophants come to praise him right away. He catches each of your eyes in turn as he is showered by vapid words from his fans, as if waiting for you to come talk to him.

As the music fades, Ashlyn takes a deep breath, as if rejuvenated from the ceremony. For a moment, she remembers what it felt like before her curse.

do you guys want to talk to him, do you want to report what you heard and saw to Bramley, or do something else?

[Nexus]

I'll go talk to him.

"Hi. I'm interested in what you've got to tell us."

Tanzime smiles at Aulric.

"I noticed you came in as a group, but you didn't sit together. Why is that? Regardless, we don't get a lot of adventurers that attend our meeting. I was wondering if you and your friends could help me with a problem I have."

Aulric ignores the first question. "What's your problem?"

"There's reports of a werewolf terrorizing gnomes south of here. I'm hoping for a more thorough investigation. The guards haven't been too helpful. I think you and your friends could be. Would you be willing to find and slay the beast for us?"

"What else is in it for us?"
