Did town just not have a vigilante?

dwlee conf-towned himself to me last night, which in turn made me realize who H1/H2 was and I wouldn't peg their role to be a vigilante.
But didn’t STD flip rb town?

Town had no vig.

Mastina’s role was actually 1-shot raid leader (as you saw) and 1-shot modified universal backup that let her grab a 1-shot of dead town role. Mastina-third-party-theory was interesting to read.

I’ll post the rest of the role PMs tomorrow.

Also the informed towns had the “will know if this flavor dies” because of the existence of janitor. I didn’t want scum to janitor the informed role and “confirm” themselves as town.

The raid mechanic was pretty neat, but a narrow pool of raids (literally only three, repeating) and their consistent order (no randomness to them), not to mention having my role which allowed for auto-success of basically half the raids in the game via the stacking bonus, all meant that raids felt a little under-developed as a mechanic. It could've been a lot more.

I had the solve in last night's linkshell as well. I posted all my thoughts for dwlee to repost in case I died last night. I broke down all the flipped scum and cross referenced the name drops and how they handled their scum mates.

It couldn't be anyone but Gamma/Nancy lol.

@Nancy, Mandel's action was a day action and didn't Roleblock the creation of the linkshell.

(Btw I also think that the game is a little bit townsided, even given the strong scum roles due to my role in combination with the cop and doctor and commuter and so on and so forth. My role makes all of them stronger and have redundancies when paired with raids. I don't think it's HUGELY unbalanced because the scum roles ARE pretty strong, but I'd say it's closer to like...55-57.5:42.5-45 town:scum here. Granted, town won by play, but I do think that the town roles' synergies were underestimated in review even if we didn't get to optimize the usage of said role synergies.)

In a 21 player game, it felt like lucky happenstance that they just happened to janitor one of the two of them.

I think the detriment for scum was that they had too many people they needed to kill since there were obvious PRs that needed to be taken out, and still had to get past the bulletproofs and what not. Like, I think almost every kill they made had to be that kill, (except I think they erred killing RC over tictac, even though they didn't know mastina was about to clear RC).

Scum probably could have used a 1-shot extra kill maybe, I'm not sure though.

Narrow pool of three Primals was because the game was based on 2.0 content which only had those three Primals. And Ultima weapon was a scum role. I should’ve done the content up to at least 2.5 to give more primal choices but the patch quests kinda overlaps and foreshadows Heavensward (expansion) so I didn’t. If I did though, Moenbryda definitely would’ve been a scum fakeclaim for lulz.

Raid mechanic was kinda experimental. My personal regret is that I should’ve made it so that it’s not just first-come-first-serve. I wanted to emulate party finder in game so I did it like that but in retrospect it kinda sucked.

True this, there was almost no incentive to shove off once you jumped in to a raid.

This makes me feel better but to win as scum, you have to be both really good at mech and have a coordinated team to sign up for the raids, plus the flavour thing, as was poihted out, scum didn’t have very impressive fake claims. We actually started out as scum bg and cakez transferred rb to Wheme and we got it from him. An evolving strongman would have been much better because being forced to kill Cheeky because of guaranteed sucess bp raid, was the beginning of the end for us.

Great cop check Ydrasse. This is the second game you correctly nailed scum.
