The coalition with 3 votes at the last VC has picked up a 4th. Anybody intending to become the 5th person to offer this coalition should declare intent to hammer it.

Personally I won't hammer that one unless we somehow find ourselves about to fail to form a coalition, as any coalition is better than none. But there are 3 players in there that I have serious doubts about.

Cyrus's posting and play just feel town-aligned to me. I can't say I find it super-towny or effective, but it seems to come from genuine intent.

That take has taken a hit after his back-and-forth with you, though, and I don't love his willingness to toss out most of what he seemed locked in on earlier in the thread, but I remind myself that Cyrus's motivations are beyond the understanding of us mere mortals. His hesitation to lock anybody in particular into the coalition also feels town to me.

I figured it was weird, but only after I posted the post I consciously realized why I thought so - Hakai was saying nothing when I was picking up Townreads and getting into people's Coalitions. He said either nothing about me or mentioned one or two posts that he liked. (!!!) Then, there's a Coalition on the rise that doesn't have me in it (and this is after a period during which I was asleep, meaning I wasn't really posting), and all of a sudden he is strongly against me and me specifically being in the Coalition? Right.

Re Math and my Townread on cyrus, it was mostly that the guy felt really uninformed. Whatever he was posting felt like it was just what he was thinking and it felt pretty agendaless. I might take some time to go through his ISO tonight and iron out my read on him if you really want, but I am kind of lazy, and if this Coalition you proposed is actually about to pass, I don't feel like doing that extra work if it's not gonna be useful for me. (I'm assuming it will pass since I'm assuming either Enchant or Kyouko will end up voting for it. Oh no, I said the words "I'm assuming" twice in the same post, in the same sentence even.)

I agree with your thought on Cyrus.

I'm not sure how likely this coalition is to pass.

Mathblade agreed to sponsor a Coalition that cyrus proposed, then cyrus proposed it, then Math voted for it, then cyrus voted for it.

So while you're right that Mathblade voted for it first, it's a little more nuanced than how it sounds.

For anyone that's both in the Coalition and nervous about it passing - I will point out that this is a Nathann-free Coalition, and as such may attract ssbm_Kyouko's attention.

My townread on cyrus isn't as strong as it was, but I still don't think that scum|cyrus rocks the boat like this given the gamestate.

His actions would only make sense if he still had a partner in there, and I'm not seeing a lot of options for that - or if this was some big bluff to try to regain lost towncred.

If this is a scum bluff, it's on the verge of being called.

I think the odds of this passing are not zero, but I certainly wouldn't put any money on it (even if not prohibited by site rules). Maybe 40% chance of passing?
This is more of a reaction test - and so far I've seen at least one juicy bit of info that I don't think we would have picked up otherwise. (Hakai endorsing it. Would not have expected that.)

Not sure I need to re-evaluate Cyrus. I still think he's town, I just don't love his play and the fact that he's getting tilted here by Math.

i've already said this in multiple ways but i just don't see scum!cyrus posting whatever's on his mind as he has been in this game. if he can do that as scum, more power to him but if I were someone like cyrus who posts whatever the fuck's on my mind i would be a lot more careful as scum than I would as town for fear of posting something incriminating.

the whole point of me putting math in to the five was math said any five with me in it is sure to fail. So unless they scum read mb I want out so when it fails I don't have blood on my hands.
