suggest roles to this thread and the government will buy them with spondulicks (i will edit posts with spondulick values)
a running total of the amount of money this costs the government will be maintained in the OP
the government will run out of money and shut down every time the debt ceiling is hit. this will lock the thread.
news tickers will be posted every so often.
please don't edit prices. if i suspect that prices have been edited then i'll doublecount the role after i reassign the price. this will later be cooked out of the books but until then it's just causing issues.

Each night, you may lend a player $50. They must pay it back within one day-night cycle (e.g.: by the end of Night 2 if given out at the end of Night 1), or they will incur (compound) interest at a rate of 5% per phase (rounded down to two decimal places) (starting on Day 3 if we continue the previous example). Failure to pay the interest rate by night (all of the interest from previous day-night cycles) will result in the player being jailkept for the night. The money can be paid back at any time.
Mod Notes: You can change $ to some currency if another role establishes a different currency system. This role does not establish any use for money other than lending it to others and paying off interest.

If you do not pay this back before Day 4, the government will hold you in minimum security prison, making you unable to vote or act but giving you access to a Minimum Security Prison PT.

Each night, you may target a player. You will attempt to learn whether the targeted player has a gun (flavor-wise). In addition, if the player has a gun, the targeted player can pay $25 to buy additional ammo granting them another use of their ability if it is X-Shot.
Mod Notes: The targeted player has until the end of the next day to decide whether to spend money. They should not specifically know they were targeted by a gunsmith; the pm should be generic enough to have come from a different role that offers the same ability. This role does not give players any starting money. You are free to switch to a different currency system if it meshes better with the roles in the game. All purchases are subject to a 7.5% sales tax that goes to the moderator of the game, meaning that the gunsmith only gains $23.12 from purchases.

You may give away up to $10,000 each night. This gives the target player money without any expectation to pay it back. If this action fails, you don't give away any money. You cannot give away money you don't have.
