Sorry, he isn't here right now. He tried to rob me, so I had security arrest him.

[Talitha]

OH DEAR. UM, SORRY TO BOTHER YOU

takes a deep breath
Lock myself in the bathroom
Use my hard wooden chair leg to smash one of the mirrors and then wedge a piece off the wall that I can carry with me

[ambic]

You have a nice mirror shard, and the chef doesn't appear to have noticed what you were doing. That's probably good for the goodwill and rapport you have with him.

Nice. Oh duh.. I forgot to

inspect my tracker device

It seems to think there is nothing here of interest. Not even the frankenburger.

[Talitha]

check out the drier and the sink in the bathroom, do they unscrew? is there anything of interest outside or inside?

[ambic]

The keys on the bench in the kitchen loooooook mighty tempting.

The drier is a dyson hand drier. Efficient and fast. There is soap and tissues available in both bathrooms. The toiler cubicles lock from the inside. The main entrance to the loos can be locked up from the outside, when its time for the staff to go home. The mirrors have been vandalised by some pratt.

Go and see the Chef
he was so nice making me a frankenburger, I'd like to wash some more dishes for him, would that help him out?

[ambic]

He is more than happy to let you help, and offers to pay you 20 dollars, but he cant spare more than that

[Talitha]

Aw what a good bloke.

Do allll the dishes

tidy up the benches, fridge and pantry for him too (and have a nosy while I am at it....)

quickly slip the keys into my pocket while Chef is otherwise engaged

[ambic]

The chef is right there next to you. You might have to try something more subtle

[ambic]

The keys are right in front of him. There is no way of getting them without being seen

[Talitha]

"CHEF, DID YOU KNOW THERE HAS BEEN SOME VANDALISM IN YOUR CAFE TOILETS? WHEN I WAS IN THERE IT LOOKED PRETTY BAD... GLASS ON THE FLOOR... I WILL CLEAN IT UP IF YOU LIKE BUT CAN YOU GO AND HAVE A LOOK FIRST, MIGHT NEED REPORTING TO SECURITY"

He wanders over to have a look

The chef wanders back and firstly says… haha very funny. Nothing was out of place. Also, I see my keys are missing. Give them back please

[Talitha]

WHAT? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE CHEF - I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES!

I start striding out of the kitchen

As I pass, I flick the light switch off

I use the walls to find my way to the French doors, feel around for the lock and use the keys to unlock them, and exit.

I re-lock the doors behind me

you turn off the lights

[ambic]

You grab the keys, run for the french door hitting your shin by the cabinet on the tills. The chef realises he's been duped, and he starts pursuing you.

[ambic]

You rush the door, having never even collected your pay. And with a quick turn of the keys, the chef is locked out. And you are on the patio.

[ambic]

The chef on the other side is making gestures at you, buts hard to see anything, as he is in the dark and you are in the relative light. Relative in that the moonlight, and stars are what you have to go on. And you notice the odd meteor or two in the sky.
