I think if you add a second baton, make the game 16 players (12t:3m:1surv). Give the town a 1 shot day vig and a cop. Give scum a role too. You add more to player engagement. Make one baton able to pass 7 and the other 8. I dunno the balancing but if you make it less set on an individual’s action and split the game into less of a set line of passing it, and give it a 3rd party for good measure, that’ll add a lot more to agency. I think that’s the secret ingredient missing here, although I love the idea and was really looking forward to this game.

Then again this is a different game entirely, but I don’t see how this linear function of the game can be fixed on its own.

Also when I can mod games next month, this is going to be one of my pet projects I’ve been wanting to try out once I put in my mod!time.

This game was really fun and I’d love to take it to the next level.

the first baton holder being scum makes the probability of a scum elim on d1 only 1/8 just by random

if town misses d2 they have to get perfect solve d3 to win.

Also lack of agency for town along with short deadlines really makes it quite difficult to get any meaningful data/cohesion - somewhat demotivational.

Some final notes: If Enchant gave the stick to Pooky who would've given the stick to Vulture, town would have had a better chance specifically because of Pooky.

Also Enchant was the nk specifically because he gave scum the stick both times and I didn't think he'd give the stick to us again on the off chance Wisdom didn't want to give either of us the stick.
