Nothing gives you a direct clue, but there is a caretaker here: groundskeeper waldo. If you want to search a particular square, use the grid coordinates from the graphic

There is a well sealed box, maybe 10 feet down. The pond is sloped, so you might be able to drag the box up, but its too heavy. You end up having to surface for air.
