it did nothing but it was funny

i got to the deckbuilding part and it's pretty cool, my favorite deck so far is the stun + recall one

i like the expedition game mode because i feel smart when i win with a deck i chose at random

i leveled up 2 champions in my last game which is kinda !! because it's really hard to level up champions with such limited options to synergize with them

it feels super suboptimal to try to level them up at this point in my runeterra playing

there's a tendency for them to get levelled up in control and the base forms to get used in aggro I think

ok, makes sense. jynx being a 5/4 quick attack has been pretty good.

as for now, most of my decks are midrange and the champions don't work that well as payoffs which is what i want them to be

There is draft, but the drafting process is below average in enjoyability imo

I don't remember duelyst draft quite well enough, which may mean it was also worse than Legends of Runeterra draft.

You're kind of propped up by the gameplay decisionmaking in LOR being better than the gameplay decisions in most of the games in that list. The packet and surgical replacement drafting system doesn't make me a happy panda though

it looks like i normally can't cast a burst spell after my opponent chooses blockers, but i can do so if my opponent has a burst spell? so for example if i think my opponent has a battle fury then i shouldn't cast a combat trick on my blocker? weird

You can play burst (and fast) spells after your opponent blocks. You can't play anything if they skip blocking.

It's counterintuitive for sure. I'm not sure I object to it as a design choice though. There's this element of, "your attack was completely unchallenged, what more do you want?" Overall it's going to decrease the aggressiveness of the game and healthbased creature combat games are gonna be overly aggressive as a starting point I think.

ace wants his cards to do the same thing every time. but i guess it's good that games end with giant combat tricks less often.

it's cool that they give you synergy picks, but it seems optimal to just build around one set of synergy picks and ignore the other
