[SETUP] Legacy9

9
Players

This setup is a variation on Mafia in that this is actually a series of three interconnected games which run with the same playerlist one after another. As such, alignment changes can and will happen, as well as messing with revival and such.

Therefore, a different system of win condition is used, based on a player's overall performance between the three games.

Setup Generation

There are three "decks", a deck of Vanilla Townies, a deck of Town Power roles, and a deck of Mafia roles.
15
Vanilla Townies

1
Town 1-Shot Cop

1
Town Cop

1
Town 1-Shot Tracker

1
Town Tracker

1
Town Friendly Neighbor

2
Town Masons
, who must roll together
1
Town 2-Shot Doctor

1
Town 2-Shot Jailkeeper

4
Mafia Goons

1
Mafia Roleblocker

1
Mafia Role Cop

1
Informed Goon
(Informed of one town power role that is in the game)

Draw 5 Vanilla Townies and 2 Town Powers, and then draw 2 Mafia roles, entirely at random*. This forms the setup.
* One exception to this, if a Mason draws, the other draw is forced to Mason. If there is only one Mason left, they function as a Named Townie but are otherwise unadjusted.

Gameplay

A normal game of Mafia then proceeds. Once the game has completed, adjust the decks and repopulate the setup for the next game.

Deck Adjustments

Strike all roles that died throughout the game from your decks. Roles that survived to endgame are not considered killed, and, in fact, are still in the setup for next time.

Repopulation

Check for what decks the surviving roles are from. Repopulate the setup to ensure the balance of roles is still 5 Vanilla:2 Town Power:2 Mafia.

Finally, randomize the setup again, and the next game begins.

The Conclusion

Once the third game has completed, the overall Legacy9 game has ended. Tally up players' scores and post the rankings. The game is completed.

[+0.25] For each phase survived
[+0.25] For each wagon that scored a mis-elimination as Mafia
[+0.50] For each wagon you were on as Town that eliminated scum
[+0.50] For a guilty as Cop
[+0.25] For a successful track (finds a visit) as Tracker
[+0.50] For a track that goes to the nightkill as Tracker
[+0.75] For a saved nightkill (as Doctor or Jailkeeper, targeting the nightkilled)
[+0.75] For a stopped nightkill (as Jailkeeper, targeting the nightkiller)
[+0.25] For someone explicitly calling you out as Friendly Neighbor after you send a message to them
[+0.25] For a stopped enemy PR (as Jailkeeper or Roleblocker, roleblocking a PR who actually targeted someone)
[+0.25] For a found PR (as Rolecop, finding a non-Vanilla result)
[+0.75] For a win as Town
[+1.50] For a win as Scum

Scores subject to change.

Hm. This is an interesting idea, although the points for phases survived seem like they would make Town want to survive, which runs counter to Town normally. Maybe that isn't necessary, and staying alive should only necessarily be good because of the points you'll get for killing scum.
Although that does then seem like it makes points even harder to get for VTs, who are lacking in ways to get them already.

Still, I really like this idea!

Check out 15.ai, it does generated voices for characters and it’s pretty neat.
