I had also intended to point out that the PS3 actually did have a "yellow light of death" that was similar to the Xbox and Xbox 360 RROD. I personally owned a PS3 that failed in this manner and even though the failure rate was lower it was unacceptably high at 10% of original PS3 models. (Slims failed at a much lower rate.)
