Day 1: A Mayoral Discussion
13 of you all live in a quiet, peaceful village, where nothing bad ever happens, except sometimes when the mayor gets drunk and knocks over your mailboxes. That's OK, though, he's very endearing about it, and always replaces them with mailboxes that are almost as good.
But one day, the mayor calls you into the town hall (his treefort) and says:
"Townfolk, I have bad news for you. I have received word that Bad Guys have infiltrated our village, and they mean to kill us. They might be mafia, they might be werewolves, they might be zombies. . . excuse me, I mean they're
definitely
mafia or werewolves."
This sounds, of course, like terrible news. Bad guys are trying to kill you?
"Something must be done!" cries tekkactus.
Quiet murmurs of agreement fill the room, until the mayor says "Of course we'll do something. I have the perfect plan. Every day, we'll sit in the town hall until we agree to kill someone, and then we'll go to sleep and repeat until all the bad guys have been killed."
"I had in mind searching people's houses for guns," mutters tekkactus, but the mayor waves that off as being unconstitutional.
"Don't werewolves kill people at night?" asks Awesome Pants, but the mayor points out that he can't very well watch Nick at Nite during the day, so all the democratic killing will have to be done before 8:30.
"We'll start once everyone gets here," says the mayor with the decisive air of someone who always remembers when the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is on.
