I think I am better positioned if Shea dies today but the pivot onto DV is much more natural for me.

Although if I put Shea and Titus in ELO together he might just refuse to lose to her. That doesn't seem like a bad bet compared to the risks that would be involved with flipping on Shea

Alternatively a gl/Shea/aus ELO is pretty favourable

I mostly mean that there’s a demoralised aspect to your posting and avoidance of the HEM wagon at the time that could be reflective of actual scum feelings, but it’s more likely that scum would not let those actual feelings show

He actually has me nailed here! I feel a bit embarassed that he thinks I'm better at this than I am - I can fake emotions on some level, but it's difficult for me to force myself to sound like I care if I don't, mostly because it requires more of a time investment imo

Mostly i am going with my intuition which has generally resulted in the best outcomes so far this game, that town ausuka is likely to get paranoid of titus in this situation, and that even if it's not logical people probaby *want* titus to be the wolf because it's an easy answer which feels better than DV or shea because she hasn''t done anything.

I don't think you're correct at all. I feel like I have made myself spend a lot more time on this game than I wanted to so even though I am indeed scum I really wouldn't describe my strategy here as coasting. It makes it feel like all the effort I put in was totally pointless

"Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe my game, this game rewards blind luck and nothing else, I am beyond convinced at this point. After getting completely tooled by scheduling with my opponent changing times on me last minute and refusing to provide confirmation prior to the day of the game as to play times, losing this way somehow felt even worse than I had thought possible. My preparation was superior, my play was superior, and I lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within my control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not.

I am done with competitive mafia, and you won't get a fond farewell. This community is infected to its roots with a degenerative disease that grows stronger over time but stops short of killing its host. Games used to have a competitive spirit at their heart, this has been transplanted and replaced with an artificial organ that feeds on vitriol and mockery from insecure little boys and girls that heckle by the sidelines and tear each other to shreds over scraps of attention. The environment we fostered has trapped us all like this in a vicious cycle, and escaping it requires acceptance of the harshest reality we all scramble to explain away, that none of the countless straining efforts we put ourselves through here will ever amount to one single shining glimmer of significance. I would make this the end, but Team Mafia is still ongoing, and I would never leave so many great friends out to dry, so I'll suffer through a few more games for them.
